It depends on the effect the changes have on you, and only you. Are you "extremely unhappy" because you are listening to the complaints of other unhappy people? Are you being asked to do work you feel is unreasonable? Is the fact that so many others are complaining affecting your feelings?
A take-charge person would sit down with the immediate supervisor and present your concerns about the "questionable decisions." Not others' concerns, but only yours. You would listen, stay calm, and be positive. The best approach is, if you think some procedure is not efficient, not productive, not good for the company, suggest, and only suggest, a solution.
By trying to be a problem solver, you present yourself as a can-do employee, with a good attitude. Sometimes negativity can take over, because people feel powerless and manipulated. That is not always the case. By presenting yourself as a positive person, you can make tremendous progress, not only for yourself, but for the unhappy people around you.
The key is you said you make "some good money," That is why you may want to work to improve things. Otherwise, screw it. Quit, along with everyone else, although I am positive they are just making noise about resigning.
Be a take charge person.

If you're unhappy with your current job situation, and you don't see that it will change some to your liking in the foreseeable future, then you should begin looking for a better opportunity. Once you find one, then you quit. Make sure you think through your moves before you make them. When a bunch of people at a job are all miserable and want to leave, it's very easy to stray from clear thinking and start making decisions based on what others may be saying. What works for them may not work well for you. It may not even work well for some of them, because I'll bet some of them are only blowing smoke.

i went through the same thing. i worked for a place for 15 years. i liked it in the beginning, but management changed and i no longer enjoyed the work, or how it was managed. it was a good paying job, but i was very unhappy. if you want to quit your job, it would be good if you found another job first before you quit that one. why work at a place that you dislike so much? good luck!

Start looking around for another job before you quit or if you are going back to school, wait until then. Remember, your job is just a means to an end, don't take it personally.

I would try and stick it out until you had another job. That way if it takes too long to find something else, then you still have money coming in. It also looks better on a resume with no gaps.

i think that you should not quit and be happy with life! like try to save a budget and then when you have alot of money shop til you drop then maybe you will be happy and remember that some people have no jobs and that they are looking and if you quit someone might take your job and then you might not be able to find another job so keep that in mind!

only if you don't think the company will fail . if you stay and everyone leaves you will be on top , when your employer asks what went wrong let them know in a easy way that will not offend and hope it works out .sometimes the last sheep is the best if turning things around .

I think that is for you to decide. If you think you can find another job with equal pay, go for it.
I would think about it just to make sure it's the right decision. Don't do it just because others are doing it.

Its not uncommon for you to quit your first job. I say if you can go back to school and you want to, and your just uncomfortable in the buisness your in now, quit.
