Why are you applying for this job?
What can you offer the company?
Why did you leave your last job?
What would your previous boss say about you?
I can't answer those for you, you have your own answers.
Just get those applications out and get interviewing. The more experience interviewing you have, the better you'll be.

I just had a competancy based interview, a new style. They pick questions in which you have to relate your experience to answer. It's more difficult than a traditional interview in that you are asked, "remember a time when you had a customer making a demanding or unreasonable request and how you handled it," or "tell me of a time when you had to reprimand a co-worker for making a mistake." There are no right or wrong answers but they are judging your ability to perform the duties you are interviewing for based on past experiences. It's not like a yes or no kind of reply. You have to elaborate on what you have done in the past in certain situations.

Typical opening questions:
Why do want this job? What makes you qualified for this job? Why should we select you? Tell me about your experience? I notice a gap in your employment history. explain.
But more importantly:
Where do you see yourself in five years?
What salary do you expect?
Sometimes silly questions:
-If you where a tree what what your be?
-What's more inportant? A smart employee or hardworking employee?
Or Stress questions to see if you can have positive relationships with coworkers:
-You seem to have an inconsistant history?
-What was the worst problem at work?
-Who did you not get along with at work?
