What do you do with a boss who threatens wages, and inflicts emotional abuse to force you to agree with his opinions? What do you do with a boss who pushes a women too far with emotional abuse to force compliance to unreasonable demands when she is 8 months pregnant? What do I do to win in this situation by not quitting and being able to receive unemployment. I haven't been getting paid enough to afford a lawyer. I'm in IL - what should I do?

This has been an annual issue of contention at almost every company I've worked at. As payroll has always been a part of my job, I know when it's paid and when it's not, which employee works that Friday and who doesn't. I've noticed that often salaried people try to pull a disappearing act that Friday, whereas hourly people are required by their bosses to show up. I think companies should just make Thanksgiving a two-day paid holiday, and include Friday. Holiday pay should be applied fairly to every employee at the company. Agree or disagree?

Have you ever worked in a place where they would not tell you how many vacation/sick days you have taken or how many you have left? Have you ever heard of such a place?

whenever employers negotiate starting salary they always use your current salary to start, so I dont see why I shouldnt provide a false floor to my price - after all it is what I do in all other negotiations

Hi I have just got a new job and want to do my resignation letter. I intend putting on my letter that my boss was never off my case and caused me considerable stress (my doctor also signed me off for 2 months). I think this should be pointed out as I also went to Human Resources about him and nothing was done. I will copy in a senior director to let them know of the goings on as well. Can I do this without burning bridges? I have a new job offer and have accepted but they haven't asked for references. I have old references which are excellent.

I am an Expert Excel/Access user (certified) and am looking for freelance work. I am not looking to be directed to a site that tells me how to find projects. I know how to do that. I am looking for someone offering work to respond. Similar work will be considered.

I am an individual freelancer with a home office, no distractions and unlimited time to work on projects. I adapt to many software titles in addition to being well versed in all popular applications.
Please send me a sample of your project with specific instructions and will provide you with my free sample work. Thanks.

I was recently working for a mexican restuarant as a waiter. I made at least $40 on one day, but only got $10. They say it is all my fault and the computer never makes mistakes. Also, I was told that I would get my credit card tips on my check, but they aren't there. I worked for three days and quit because I was getting screwed out of the money I know I made. what can I do?
