I talked to a few different people, and got different responses. The jobs would be: Sears’s retail sales, Target Sales associate, Borders sales, and Kohl’s sales associate. I have never had a job before, and it is my first semester in college. Thanks

I'm 17 and I applied at some store that sells children's learning supplies, etc. Honestly, it is a very nice store and it seems like a great environment to work in (in the past, I worked at fast food stops... hated it!). I was wondering if you can give me some tips for my interview.

I hope that I get the job!

I know it would take a whole lot of hard work, but I REALLY want it. what are the steps to achieving this? I believe with alot of other people helping me and everybody pitching in, that we can do it if we want it enough. plus I know alot of people, DJs, bands, etc.
I know this would take a long time, I'd need fund to support this, also.

This is an odd situation to say the least! I started a job 3 weeks ago. When I started, they told me that they hired me because they like the skills I have, but didn't really know how I would be used. Well I had accepted the job, knowing that I would be getting paid more than I have ever been paid. Well I have been there 3 weeks and they still haven't found much for me to do, I spend half of the day killing time. I have been doing a lot of reading, on documentation about the aircraft I work on.

I have talked to my boss, coworkers, everyone and I tell them how I need work to do. They give me something, I knock it out, and ask for more. Unfortunately it just takes them so long to find me anything. I feel like the issue will eventually get resolved...I am just getting tired of reading technical documentation while killing time!

Any suggestions? How would you handle this? I feel like I am almost becoming a nuicense as much as I ask for work.

how come i pay to go to school to get my A+ certification only to make 15$ per hour? while some people i know never even graduated high school is making almost as much as me. is A+ certification really worth it ? making only 15 per hour? shouldn't A+ technician jobs be paying around $17 per hour instead..it seems that getting an A+certification is a waste of time...all that studying just to get $15 per hour..any people with A+ certifications have any comments?

I have received the job which I have been trying for. I start January 8th. I was thinking of giving my notice this friday, which would be my 5 weeks notice. Is that too much notice or would it be looked at as fine.

I don't know if I should wait and give my notice closer to time or if I should just let them know now. A lady in my office won't be back for a while due to family problems, so I figured giving my notice this much time in advance would appropriate. I am going to prepare my letter of resignation, but I am just not sure if it is too early to let them know.

Elmo is a majority stockholder in a coportation. He paid a bonus to his son, jake, that amounted to 10% of the corporation's profits for two successive years. The corportation took a salary deduction for the bonus, which amounted to $30,000.0 for each year (2 yrs) Jake is emplyed in the Marketing Department of the company and was the only employee in his position in the department to receive a bonus. The bonus was paid in addition to a salary of $55,000. The IRS disallowed the bonus deduction. Why is that?

I got another job, better paying, so I quit my job at Macy's by not showing up. Bad thing to do, I know. Anyway, I interviewed today to go back (in another state) and they told me I'm not in the system so they'll have to do a 're-check' (whatever that is) and get back to me.

If, and when, they find out I quit without notice, do you think there's a chance I'll get my job back?
