I talked to a few different people, and got different responses. The jobs would be: Sears’s retail sales, Target Sales associate, Borders sales, and Kohl’s sales associate. I have never had a job before, and it is my first semester in college. Thanks

Call each store where you will apply, tell them it is your first job and you don't have a resume. They will probably tell you that you don't need one.

Yes you need a resume for the above job. I am a firm believer that even a tree cutter should have a resume. It will give you a great advantage over the other candidates since it tells a lot about you. YOu need to realise that experience sometimes is not as important as skills. In the end you need to better demonstrate that you can handle the above job to the greater advantage of the company.

You don't need a resume. Those are your typical low paying retail jobs. Each place will make you fill out a job application so it's a good idea to write out a list of all your previous schooling, SS#, reference phone numbers, ect. and bring it with you at each place you apply to so you don't have to keep looking it up. It's no fun having to call your parents to ask what your social number is while in the middle of applying for a job. Also a lot of places like to give you a personality test where they ask you questions like "Do you like standing for eight hours dealing with grumpy customers?" or "Do you work well with others?" or "Is company time, company money?" Basically this is where you get to put your BS skills to use.

I work at Sears, no resume needed to apply. This goes to other giant retails too. Why would a lowly job such at giant retails need resume-_-. They can hire any sucker for lower wage. Haven't you heart? There's a sucker born every minute. Hope this helped, don't be discourage :) I only need a seasonal job anyway.

I always attach a resume with my application; not every store's application is detailed enough to include everything that you cover in your resume. Plus, a well-organized resume says a lot about a person.

I would not expect any of these jobs to require a resume. The job application will ask you all they need to know.

You don't need a resume because those places have applications, but it never hurts to have one in hand.

well its always good to have one ready, you could put down things youve done in the past you dont need a job in the past to have experience you can put down that you babysat or yard work, maybe fancy it up if you want some people do that, and out down how you work if your good with group work, good social skills whatever so i suggest you at least have one ready to go

no you do not. You can apply on-line or on a computer in the store. Just go to the store and ask to fill out an application.... that's all!!

It makes you look organized and responsible, it doesn't necessarily say what jobs you've done but other things you've done like community service or your education.
