I am having a hard time picking a major. I have a passion for foreign languages, and I particularly like French. I am thinking about majoring in French but I am not sure exactly what I could do with that kind of degree? Tranlation maybe? I don't know. I also want to know if anyone has any information on becoming a translator.

Ok, I just landed myself a pretty decent job and already went for the physical test (urine test and X ray) last friday. I never smoke or drink in my life, however I heard that there was alot of pp who failed this. So I was just wondering, how acurate is the urine test is ? Would someone who never smoke or drink at all like me have a chance to fail it ?

Does anybody know how to get started in a career in zooology or animal training? Also, what is the average salary for such careers. Do you have any suggestions for similar career fields? I have a huge passion for animals but not sure I want to go the Veterinarian route. Thanks in advance!

Many employees tend to think that only marketing graduate can do marketing position and only finance graduate can do financial position. Maybe some of the position do need some specific skills. But in term of IT industry, I think that IT graduate also can do marketing for their own product and be responsible on operation. Now before the jokes start, let me explain. :D I've found that it's easier to focus on my work when I have something in my mouth, like gum. Problem is, chewing that stuff is bad for your jaw (I already have jaw problems), and I don't want to do it all day. I'm thinking like a candy or a coughdrop, except the sugar is horrible for teeth. And I hate sugar-free candies! lol. What can I put in my mouth to occupy it, so I can concentrate better?

I've gotten to the point where I am so comfortable getting jobs, I dont try hard to keep them anymore! LOL. I get sick of them quick, then i put in my two weeks and start another job. My real job isnt coming until after i get my BA degree in about 1.5 years anyway. but still, is it bad that my resume is getting longer and longer and longer? or, should i just look at it like "hey, Im getting the experience I need for later ventures?"

I am sooooo irratated with everyone here and feel like I might say something that I probably shouldn't say. I only have 1.5 hours left but I feel like that is too long. Should I play it safe and leave or suck it up and try my hardest not to open my mouth?

I'm looking for a part-time job in the run up to Christmas which I can do as a second job in the evenings and/or weekend. I'd like something which has the potential to give me good tips, is waiting in a restaurant the best bet? And are normal restaurants better for this than hotel ones? What is bar work like? Ideally something that wouldn't leave me too knackered. Thanks!
