You claim to be "mature" yet don't feel you should be "babysitting" or "mowing lawns"...as if these are less than decent ways to earn money. In truth, maturity has little to do with it.

Mature or not, the problem here is your lack of experience. Getting anything high paying or extraordinary just isn't possible at your age and your lack of work experience to date.

It isn't impossible, though. What are your strengths and what do you think you could do? There are minimum wage paying jobs for 15 year-olds - have you applied at any? Are you actively looking rather than posting a "give me a job" shout-out on Yahoo! of all places?

Maturity is wonderful - but you truly need to be concentrating on garnering some experience as an employed person before expecting to find "better" jobs. Ask around and check local job listings, I'm sure you can find a decent summer job in no time that is appropriate for your age, experience, and smarts.

Ahh it's hard at any age to find a job right now in Indiana I am not sure if it is the same there. I was looking for a part time job, applied everywhere in the mall the places I did find *sears and bath and body works* they said one week you might not get any hours the next you might get some but it will be under 15 and it could only be 1. So for me it wasn't worth my time if I might not get any hours and then only one hour. Jobs are hard to find! Keep looking you will find something! Most Chuck E Cheese and Mcdonalds are about always hiring.. but yeah.. that depends on if its something you would do!

If you moved to WA for a job, presumably you had $0 income from your prior employer after the move. Therefore ALL of the income from that job goes on your CA income tax return. You'd only prorate the income if you continued to work for that employer after the move. Then you'd break it out paycheck by paycheck.

try contacting one of those companies that helps people find jobs. I am sure that they have employers on there roster that will hire 15 yr olds. Gonna be tough though as you don't...i'm assuming...have a license yet to drive. don't give up though. a 15yr old who WANTS to work is a rare thing. you are moving in the right direction. good luck

being 15 do you need a work permit to work? i know in mose states you cant work without a permit untill you are 16.. that might be the problem.. but for the rest of it there should be lots of places hireing right now accounting its the holiday season.

what are you looking for? check craigslist.com for your area.

Unfortunately, getting jobs doesn't have much to do with maturity and responsibility. And usually not grades too, as unfair as it seems.

So, don't take it personally.

At 15 you're lucky to get any job. And probably you won't get one, and certainly not keep it, with that attitude.
