I only worked at this job once and was recently offered a better offer by another company, which i intend to take. I am thinking about sending an email to the boss (i rather not make a call). I am not sure what to write, since it has been such a short employment.

I am one class short from my bachelor's degree. I am unable to take the course in the fall but will in the winter. I want to apply for a city and also a county position that requires a bachelor's. Are they lenient and understanding enough to let me continue.?? My plan is to get the job and fulfill the class by taking an "intership" class. If I get the job, I can count that as my "internship" class. I don't have to attend class, just write daily journals and a report at the end.

I'm really scared I won't find a job, are they lenient? I hope they are understanding of my situation and still let me go through the process. Please help!

I just started this job and my boss is unbearable. Bi-polar maybe. Not that this is a bad thing but difficult to want to stay at my job. I've developed some anxiety and am worried that I have made a terrible mistake accepting this job. I want to start searching for another job but do I add this current job to my resume?

What is your dream job? What would you like to do more than anything else? I once heard "If you do what you love you will never have to work a day in your life."

I've been demeaned and embarassed and definitely don't owe her any consideration. That's why there is no way I'm going to give my two week's notice and walk quietly away. How would you quit if you were in my situation? Obviously, nothing that involves violence. I want to go to a better job, not prison, but other than that, I'm open to suggestions. Real ideas only please. No lectures on being a bigger person, not sinking to her level etc. I need a little bit of revenge. Thanks.

Ok, So i have one reason that someone won't hire me, I dropped out of highschool. What i don't understand is, I know alot of people who don't have a ged and still have a job. I understand how my dropping out and not having a ged can keep me from getting a job but i hate that my past is making someone not wanting to hire me. There are ton's of idiots each and every day getting a darn job before me and it makes me mad because they are screwing around and being irresponsible and not giving a damn. I just want to know how i can prove to these people that im actually responsible enough and show them that ive learned from my past about dropping out. I've never had a job also, because they won't give me a chance. I tell these people all the time to just give me a chance and they won't. I'm going to get my ged in febuary*because thats when they are accepting applications again* but I'd like to have a job now. I don't understand what im doing wrong.

I am NOT talking about a healthy parent/child relationship, and I do NOT hate kids. I am talking about people who give children too many choices, are overly permissive, and/or expect everyone around them to plan everyting around thier kids. My boyfriend is like this, and I work with a few people like this.I was out shopping one day on a weekend, my boyfriend's son was visiting, and called me on my cell phone demanding I come home immediately because his kid was starving. I was like, "ok give him something to eat" and we have argued because I would not leave work early to pick his son up.(he wasnt driving at the time) The newest employee at my job demanded to take vacation on certain days because her kids were doing this and that, and that "because _______ dosent have kids she has to switch vacations with me..." I told her "Sorry but _____ has been here the longest and you have been here the least amount of time and vacations are based on senority. I will not ask her to switch"

Hi all, my dad has been out of work for about 18 months now after being laid off as a quality consultant for 25 years at Lucent Technologies, in Hunt Valley, MD. He is currently 48 years old. Since this was the majority of our household income, my mom has had to go to work full-time during his fruitless job search. Does anyone know of any companies near Baltimore, MD that are hiring for quality-related engineers, especially in the telecommunications sector?

Either way, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers...I will be going to college soon and my sister will be four years after me. My parents had savings, but not enough to cover all of that.

Can anyone help?
