Anyone know where a begining Carpenter would go for work?

I am a 20 yr old guy in Carpenty school. as soon as this is all done im gunna move. Im about 10 months away from finishing and getting my degree im just curious anyone know whats the best place to be going to when i am out on my own? I just need to know so when i leave i know where to go.

This may seem trite, or too obvious, but go where there is a lot of building going on. Go where the economy is booming.

If you want to work on houses, search for the fastest gorwing communities in America.

There should also be a way to search and compare the number of regional building permits being issued. I know those are released with the Housing Data that comes out to the public and should be available.

Or you can check for work availability with some of the national building firms. They like to see someone doing this sort of work ahead of time. Shows you are a thinker, can plan ahead, and will be dependable with a plan. Those are the kinds of people they want managing their business.
