if its because of job replacement, there are some jobs that can find someone quick next day. is it because they want to know when you're leaving so they can give you a surprise party? or are there any monetary reasons they dont want us to know? any legal arrangements? anybody know?

I had been at my work place for 9 mths. (doing a damn good job) Someone else was in my postion for 4mths and she was moved up to a higher postion. And now her spot was open for about an hour. Yet they didn't ask me or even say anything to me like, "your perfect at where your at right now, blah blah blah". But they said nothing. Yet I'm afraid to ask because it hurts that fact that they wouldn't think that I would exspect them to ask me. I need reasurence. But I need another job that matches 401K and moves and gives raises to the ones that deserve them. Just asking for TLC

Don't laugh, but I'm only 12. When we moved I was so excited to redecorate my new room. I'm finshed now (And if I may say so myself it looks awesome), but I still have the urge to decorate something! I want to get a job as interriror designer, but I want more experience with it even before I go to collage for it. I love going to stores and picking out pillows, and I love looking at funiture. WHAT DO I DO ABOUT MY LACKING NEEDS FOR DESIGNING THINGS? And rearranging my room (or any other part of my house -says Mom-) is NOT an option.

I am thinking of getting a job selling insurance, can anyone tell me what type of insurance has the best potential of making great money plus making it pretty quick. I cannot afford to go several months without a check. I get emails from all of the insurance companies, Farmers, State Farm, Allstate, etc....

With any job there is that learning curve, I just cannot go without pay, I have kids and a home to maintain.

Is there an agency that helps with finding a job, writing a Resume and things like that? In Germany we have the “Arbeitsamt” (Job center) - where you go to register if you’re unemployed and looking to find a job - they help with resume, application and employers call there when they need to find employees. How does this works here?

It seems the upper management in corporate America and the Government is more interested in in lining their pockets than taking care of the people who are doing all the work.

I've just quit my job and walked out because I have never worked with such awful people in my life. Do they by law still have to pay me my months wages, as I have worked their 4 weeks before leaving today? People tell me that they have to pay me the hours I have worked by law, is this true?

Been a nail technician for the last 11yrs and have become disillusioned with the market place. Everyone just wants cheap as you can get nails from these foreign nail bars where they don't speak English and wreck your nails with a drill. Nobody appears to be interested in quality. Should I go back to an office job and after 11yrs is anyone going to employ me outside of Tesco's?.
