Could it be that your senior sees that you are not competition for him/her????
If this is a political corporate-type job, your senior is setting you up for failure.
Find something you have done wrong and ask your senior to help you with it. If your senior talks around the issue and never really give you the information you need, so that the next time you will be able to complete that task ---- you are being set up for failure......

Perhaps you have outgrown your job. Sounds like you are capable of more than you are being expected to do and paid for. Look for a highter-paying , more challenging and rewarding job.
