After clearing 3 rounds of interview for this managerial position in Corporate Banking in London, I've to meet this European Head. He is coming to my city for business and will be meeting me for breakfast in the hotel's restaurant. Now, I'm good at technical stuff, but talk over breakfast i.e. social conversation is not my cup of tea.
What shud I talk?

Thank you for taking the time to meet with me this morning... (that opens a bit of insight into his priorities of business and finding the right people for the right job)

How was your flight in? (that opens a whole 'flying' conversation topic) delays, flight conditions, etc)

Have you had a chance to (or will you) to visit the sites in town? (that opens a tourist topic)

good luck

The secret of talking to most people is to talk about them. Take an interest in your interlocutor: ask him about his journey, how much time he spends travelling in his job, how this has an impact on his family life, how the recent travel restrictions have affected him, what he likes eating for breakfast... don't, whatever you do, hammer him with intrusive questions, but just let the conversation flow naturally. This way you will show that you are a human being who can communicate and interact with other human beings. Whatever he wants to know about you, he will find out, believe me!
