It's a small world... I am in a suburb of Cleveland by the name of North Royalton. I am originally from New England and moved here in 1978 so I am not exactly "new" to the area but I love Cleveland. I moved here because of the job situation here paying much more than my hometown and because of the educational and cultural opportunities. I think the people in the Cleveland area are phenomenol. The reality is... it doesn't matter where you live, it's how you live that counts. Cleveland has alot to offer and I think the cost of living is pretty decent. If you would like me to mail you a copy of the Cleveland newspaper, shoot me an email. You will be able to see the rental and home prices, store ads, job postings, that kind of thing. There are different areas of Cleveland from the poor side of the town to the million dollar lakefront homes. It's up to you to determine where you fit in by lifestyle and budget. You should be able to order Cleveland tour guides from your local library that can order them through the connected library systems. Also, check out the link below to hook into the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper website:

Hello, from the heart I am from Cleveland Ohio. There is no way you could ever get me to move back there. There might be more jobs there then where you are from but I wouldn't do it. Cleveland is not the way it used to be because things have changed for the worst. Yes, they are building the downtown area up, but you have to have a college degree to get a decent job. It's always been that way. Go to Charlette NC where the city is bigger the cost of living is low and there are more jobs then where you are from. You have anymore questions my email address is datalov3@yahoo Blessings

I don't see a problem. Cleveland is a big city. I am sure you will do fine there.
Just have plan of where to look for work in the field that you know you can get work at. Take a trip there first and scope out places to live. I think those are your most important first steps to moving there.

From a perspective of just jobs, you'll be fine. Cleveland is cold, dark, kinda ugly, and generally made fun of. (I'm from Cleveland). But there are a lot of big companies there who are always willing to hire. Young people who hang out there instead of leaving for more glamorous cities can usually get a decent job. Plus the area has a low cost of living.

Depends on what kind of work you do. Get Cleveland newspaper and look at the jobs listed. Try to find website with info about Cleveland's employment opportunities, housing, cost of living etc. Good luck. Talk to someone who lives there if possible and see if they like it there.

I really don't see it as a good idea, unless you already have a job lined up...What happen's if you get to Ohio and have a harder time finding work , then you didin greenville...My advice...Seek employment in the surrounding area first, or Call the newspaper or get online to find work before you commit to moving...
