I have a coworked who has it in for me.. Luckily we have the same boss, and the boss and I are more like best friends then boss and employee... The guy goes to our boss all the time telling him things that thankfully my boss knows is a lie. How do you finally get it through to this dude that enough is enough?

A man gets a drink from you until you notice he's becoming drunk. He asked for another one, you fix it, but then you decide not to give him one. Then he threatens to kill you and points a gun at you. It's your duty to refuse a drink to a drunk person so you tell him no. Well he kills you anyway, takes the drink that you had fixed and you had refuse to give and runs away. He drives drunk, hits someone and runs into a cliff somewhere and dies. OK, So would you and the place you worked for get sued for serving the drunk person?

Ive been working at this small organization as a program assistant for about 8 months now and I have a horrible boss. She gets upset if I have doctors appts (even though I have earned sick leave), she gossips about people all the time and to make it worse. Last month, my car was broken into the morning of a big conference and she said that it was unprofessional of me to be 1 hr late for the conference because I was attending to my car. She also mentioned that my job was DISPENSIBLE! A few days later I over heard her talking to another co-worker about my car in her office. I am currently looking for another job but, what should I do in the mean time? Quit, suck it up, or just go ahead and give notice?

I am working in a local supermarket, filling up washing powders, bleach and cleaning sparys etc.

Do you think I should wear a apron/tabard on top of my blouse, these are an optional extra?

The uniform is limited to 2 blouses and they are really fussy about ordering more.

If you think I should would you suggest a apron or a tabard?

I just return to work from my maternity leave. I have a very nice supervisor and she is leaving the company in 2 months time. She is a manager and I am her assistant. The boss discuss with me and told me that I will take over my supervisor's position. And when I asked him about my salary, he told me that there will not be any changes as it is only replacing of a different position and not increase in job scope! I wanted to resign but if I resign now, my supervisor will be in a position to need to find someone to replace me and herself before she can leave the company. I didn't want to drag her into more trouble as she is very nice to me. What should I do????Tolerate and wait till she leaves before I resign? Am I consider 'unfaithful' if I just resign now? Coz she will have obligation to need to stay to help find workers to replace our position.

I have enrolled in School this Fall, schedule, is done, Financial Aid is in order all I have to do is show up. Been putting off College for 10 years, I make decent money now but I would like to be more marketable in the long run since I only have a high school diploma and losing the job I have would mean I would start at entry level again, a pay cut which I can't live with, etc. at the same time there is speculation of lay offs at present job in October/November of this Year just don't know who, how many, etc, so sort of a gamble to stay or not to stay. The next day after Orientation and I have wrapped my brain around the fact I am going back to school Full time I am offered a Job in NYC, more pay than I get now. But in the long run may or may not be for me. I have lived in NY before so not a stranger to living there. Oh yeah and I would have a month from now to start working there. What would you do ?
