I would speak to your parole officer, they normally have a list of local business owners that hire ex-cons (sorry that word is so harsh). In some areas they have programs designed for people with your problem to transition back into the workforce. Alot of the jobs arent nice desk ones, it might be factory work or waittressing as such but it will be a paycheck and as you put your past behind you it will get easier. I wish you the best of luck.

Seriously you simply leave that felony part off the application. Unless you consent to a background check no one can find out and all that can happen if they do is that you will lose your job. Try applying as a waitress (good money and low standards) Best wishes

I would lie. As a convicted felon i don't assume you are applying for executive positions. There are many lazy people out there. Take advantage of the fact that they will not look up your criminal past. Otherwise, you will be selling drugs again. And who could blame you!

i like what the one guy said, look for sympathetic people, work for a head shop or find a job with a company that sells pot related merchandise. or just find a small or private company with a boss that likes to smoke. hopefully you will find something because your crime is not violent and you should probably tell the story and maybe even make something up like you were with your boyfriend and didnt even know the seats and trucks were full of weed.

you may no longer use this as an excuse. i'm a convicted felon (14 years in the past). even with your rational, you may no longer use it as a crutch. for 3 years, I: (a) introduced papers interior the morning for $220.00 each and every week. (b) Waited tables interior the early lunch afternoon for $a hundred and fifty each and every week (c) worked at a pizza place another day for $8/hr, earning $a hundred and sixty each and every week. for 3 years, I worked myself to the bone, earning approximately $30,000 a year. After a on a similar time as, i exchange into waiting to look after yet another paper path (which jumped my pay as much as $4 hundred each and every week). I grew to alter into supervisor of the pizza employer after 3 years, earning $500 each and every week and that i stop waiting tables. After 3 years, i exchange into earning approximately $40 8,000 a year. as quickly as i exchange into earning good funds, i began out submitting my resumes to companies. a million employer out of 20 does no longer require history checks. After 5 months of interviewing, I landed a activity that paid $40,000. I had to place as much as a drug try, yet no history verify. I probable went by way of one hundred jobs till i found that one. yet they're accessible. do no longer BLAME THE device. locate jobs that don't require history checks and artwork your palms to the bone till you may properly be promoted from interior of. artwork complicated and don't WHINE. non everlasting hard artwork companies, contractors, and warehouse jobs infrequently require history checks. you're able to do IT. i'm residing evidence.

Well now.... How do I put this nicely.... IMPOSSIBLE.. It is down right nearly impossible. One who has all that on their record is bond to have it there for life and therefore their best bet is to wait on social security checks to hold them up. In the meantime u could start a small bussiness on ebay. Thats what my uncle did. He was in debt big time and now isn't in debt wut so ever.

Well, it seems to me that running your own business went sour. There is always work to be had; I would avoid things like retail and marketing though.

I know you have to mark that you are a convicted felon, but can they actually ask you what you were convicted for if it was non-violent?
