He bought the apt. where I was working in late March. I set up the rental office for him-everything. He knew nothing about running an apartment complex. He kept me on long enough to learn about the buildings, tenants and other issues. Then he let me go and brought in
this woman who is of his same religion. He had the right to fire me.
But why do people think I should be diplomatic about what he did to me? HE went around asking "What type of person say that she hopes I fail"? A person who was he treated unfairly. My mother even was upset that I said that to him. He deserved it and more.

I just moved to a new department and someone is reporting that my row of cubicles is too loud. I know that I am one of 4 offenders of this due to talking with my manager. However, I sit really close to several other departments that are louder tham me (sometimes I have to plug my ears just to think).I don't know why someone would complain everytime I talk. Help!!! PS, this is also important, the person who is complaining is only complaing when we talk about pregnancy (I am currently pregnant and the other offenders have recently had children). Why would someone continue to complain about this and what can I do to no longer be an offender?

I quit school recently so I could spend more time with my wife.

I was working full time and going to school at night for 5 years.

I recently graduated a community college with an associates degree.

I am not planning to go back to school because my wife and I want to have a baby and I don’t want to be at school when I could be with my child.

People say I will regret it, but I really love my job and I think even if I got laid off or fired I could find another job that paid decent with my accounting experience.

I have a stable finance job with a well known company. There’s a lot of room for me to grow and make more money within the company.

Even if I had a degree I wouldn’t want to leave my job, and getting a degree really isn’t require for me to move up in the company.

Do you regret not getting a degree? Why or why not?

Ok, so I went on an interview in the beginning of July. Over the next two weeks they interviewed several folks. I know that they have called two of my references. Both told me they had a good conversation with the interviewer. So, I emailed the hiring manager to touch base. He told me that my references were very helpful and that he could not make an offer to the candidate they have selected until they complete some new HR procedures. He mentioned that he didn't expect to have to do these things but it was necessary. Then thanked me for my patience.

Does this sound like the person could be me?

How long do HR procedures take?

Any advice would be helpful. The waiting is getting kinda tough.

I'm currently a teacher. I'm looking to go lateral entry into the financial services field. I'm absolutely passionate about financial systems, markets, securities, banking, investments etc. and am willing to commit my life to this profession.

There are very few entry level positions available for people like me however. Even though I know have a better work ethic, more ability, and passion for this field....I'm worried that companies will be looking for the typical college graduate.

I did find an entry level financial analyst position available near me. It indicated that they are hiring financial anlaysts in the product control function of their investment banking division.

Do you have any recommendations about pursuing this type of job?

Also, any advice on acquiring a job in equity or securities research? I'm looking for a step in the door....I can do the rest when I get in. Thanks in advance!

I'm a recent grad in computer science (B.S). I just recently started a job at an Hospital within the IT department. I noticed a lot of people that work here have worked a very long time (10 15 years in one position). I notice their knowledge is very limited to only what is here (no where else). It's like if you give them a task they are not used to they do poor. Their knowledge base as you call it becomes extreamly narrow. I also can't understand why someone would want to work someplace for 10 to 20 years. I would want to move around and advance myself. I'm young though (24). Is this normal????

I have a friend who sells partylite that is trying to take me under her wing. Would this be the best option. Could I do more then one. I dont want charity from my family and friends I want to carry good products that people really like and really want to buy.

The company I work for is offering us 4.2% (£512 per year) and has just given the supervisors for each depot an increase of £7800 per year, plus bonuses for getting us drivers to work harder. We are planning to work to rule (40 hours per week) which will prevent the drivers collecting the parcels and hitting the company in their pocket. Read my profile and respond. Thanks

When you move to a different part of a country how do you go about finding a job, if you need a job when you get there to pay rent, but in order to get a job you need to go to interviews, which you can't because you don't live there yet...

How do you work that out and how can you make a head-start on finding a new job before moving?
