When you move to a different part of a country how do you go about finding a job, if you need a job when you get there to pay rent, but in order to get a job you need to go to interviews, which you can't because you don't live there yet...

How do you work that out and how can you make a head-start on finding a new job before moving?

Lots of the larger recruitment agencies have offices all over the country - I would register online with them and go for the checking "interview" at the local office.
If you then do temporary work whilst you look for a full time job in which ever area you move to.
Also register for the local newspaper and have it posted out to you - you can then apply for jobs via the post as well.

Hope your move goes smoothly x x x

Send your cv to agencies that are located in the area before you are moving. If you get more than one interview try to schedule them in the same week so that you can take a day or two off to go interviewing. If you still havent secured a job by the time you move temping would be ok and once settled you can look for something that suits you.

THE GOOD OL INTERNET IS ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO FIND A JOB BEFORE YOU MOVE. MY FRIEND GOES TO JOB WEBSITES ALL THE TIME, AND HE IS GETTING OUT OF DEBT. ALSO IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO DO OR IF YOU HAVE A CAREER BEFORE YOU MOVE IT IS A LOT EASIER TO FIND THE APPROPRIATE JOB. IF YOU NEED THE JOB TO PAY RENT TO LIVE THERE, I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD MOVE UNTIL YOU SAVE UP SOME MONEY SO YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE O.K., SO YOU CAN GO TO THE INTERVIEWS AND GET THE JOB YOU WANT. SO NO WORRIES, IF YOU HAVE ALL YOUR DUCKS IN A LINE WHEN YOU GET THERE I THINK YOU WILL DO JUST FINE.

Well you could try to look for jobs online. I would post a resume on websites like monster.com, snagajob.com, and other websites like that. When they call you to set up and interview tell them when you are moving and set the interview up for the day when you get there.
