Am I supposed to show my prescription to my prospective employer or the testing agency? Does the test show how much I am taking and will the agency tell my employer?

Typically, you will not need to show proof of why you are taking a medication prior to or at the time of your drug test.

They will probably ask you to list all medications and they may ask what they are for, but it's unlikely they will require proof if it is appartently for a valid reason since Vicodin is legal.

Take the prescription to the testing agency. Your employer doesn't need to know (unless you'll be driving, operating heavy equipment, doing counseling for drug problems, etc). The test will simply show what is in your system, and they will be able to verify that you are simply taking it as prescribed (or less often). Shouldn't be any big deal at all. Call the testing agency and talk to them before you go down if you have any questions, or just to make sure you're fully prepared.

Just ask whoever administers your drug test. When I used to have to do drug tests there was a form I would fill out and it would ask me to list any prescription or over the counter drugs you might be taking.

They shouldn't tell your employer how much you are taking , but they do have to confirm that what you are taking was prescribe by the doctor to you. They just want to make sure your not using something illegal, or someone drugs that don't belong to you. You really shouldn't have any problems

You have a prescription, that makes it legal. Taking a copy of the prescription may not be a bad idea.
They check for ILLEGAL drugs!

Yes they probably will report it. Anything they find in your system they report it. If taking this med may possibly jeopordize your test you should probably tell the testers so they can note your record as such.
