My boss and I got into an argument over the phone and soon I will be going into the office. I have put up with his crap for 7 years and I've had enough. I already have applied for other jobs, but haven't heard anything yet. Should I tell my boss that I'm looking? Or keep this my own little secret and surprise him at the beginning of the year?

Had to move as the landlord hadn't been paying his mortgage even though I had always paid him on time. His bank gave us three day notice to get out. I asked employer for a few days off and was denied but had to quit as I had to move! I am getting unemployment but it's only 50% of what I was making and we are now behind on paying rent here at the new place. None of this was my doing and I am looking for work but haven't found it yet. Both my kids are in school and I am the only supporter of the family and don't know if I have any legal recourse against this employer. Prior to this I had excellent employee reviews, raises, bonuses. The person that denied the leave was not in a position to do that per the HR department and has been reprimanded but that doesn't help me. They have since filled my position. All this happened three months ago.

If you lose it you would never know what number to call anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......

Egg's site impressed me though, first thing you see in the "contact us" bit is the number to call if you've lost your card.... (lost mine today)...

Email said that microsoft corporation conducted an online lottery of all the people who have registered their version of windows xp and windows vista them. And that the random result pointed to my name.

They say that they have therefore decided to transfer funds electronically to my checking account and that Bill Gates is himself waiting to transfer funds to my checking account once he gets my checking account information.

Then they say that to transfer funds they need my bank routing number, checking account number and visa or mastercard debit number and that they will do the transfer via paypal which is 100% safe without compromise of any confidential financial information.

They say they will transfer $100 million, once Bill Gates the information.

And then they write their online lottery office address as somewhere in Darfur, Sudan.

is this true or fake?

I have 13000 in credit card debt 5000 remaining on a car loan and no other bills. I am recently divorced and I got all the credit cards. I have no assets (rent my house) so I'm not sure I could have anything taken away besides my car. I have tried getting a consolidation loan but that is out of the question and I am currently enrolled in debt management, but I am still sinking. Is bankruptcy my answer??

I am working on this project for my financial management course (killer course). I am stuck. Let's say my company is Merck and Co Inc and the company I want to acquire (Wyeth) will cost me about 36 billion dollars. I know I can issue debt (bonds), issue stock, or both. I dont understand how I would calculate-determine what I can issue in debt (bonds) and what I can issue in stock based on the data from www.finance.yahoo.com (which has been very helpful); I believe I have to look at common and preferred stock (maybe even beta), but I am not sure what other information I need to look at in order to determine how many bonds and how much stock I can issue. Some examples might be helpful. Or maybe even some webistes which simplify such complicated problems for a simpleton like me :)

Last February we bought our first home. The home was listed with a new roof and well pump. At inspection these things came back good and we went ahead and bought the house. A few days later our insurance agents come out to do a final apraisal or what ever, they noticed a few shingels were missing, and we went ahead and called some one to fix them. While the guy was up there he noticed we were missing the tar paper under the shingels, and that the shingels were old and damaged. So obviously, not a new roof. I called our agent who was not helpful, and has been avoiding me since. So I called the seller who informed me, that there was never a new roof. I then called her agent from Vigna, who wouldn't even take my calls. Now it's November, and our well pump just died. I talked to the local guy, and was told the old owners never replaced the pump, he knows because he did the work. They just rigged it to work. It's obvious we were lied to, is there any thing we can do?

Alright, here is the problem. I bought a Sony Vaio Laptop online. The only reason I purchased it from sony was because they had the whole "No interest for a year" thing going on. Well, I made the purchase and after the bill came, I was slapped with the whole amount. I called my credit card company and they said "Yes", we will charge you interest if the whole sum is not paid. I found out that, that "No interest for a year" could only be applied if you applied for Sony's Credit Card. The funny thing is, Sony said NOTHING about that. The a little thing that said "No interest for a year" in red was the only thing there. No indication whatsoever about applying for the card. I DON'T want to pay interest! Is there anything I can do??

We recently received a letter from our landlord services indicating that they bankcrupce filling by our ex-tenants was disimissed indicating that we had the right to retry to collect from them. This should clear the way for us to collect almost 10 k they owe us in back rent due and legal fees.

How do we go about that? I heard something about putting a lien on their salary.

Question:

Does the court do that for us automatically since we won the case against them in court? or do we have to hire someone and try to collect? This occured in Modesto California.

Thanks in advance

Cesar

Okay, I have 2 store cards and a discover card. I owe money on all of them but have been paying the minimums every month - it's just that i'm tired of it and want to just pay them off, at least the store cards and keep the discover card. Here's what I wanna do. My bank offered me their credit card, which is $1000 credit but I said no, seeing as how I already have 3 cards...but now, I'm thinking I could maybe get the credit card from the bank and use it to pay off at least the store cards. Then I'll just be left with 2 cards - the card the bank gave me and my Discover card for emergencies. Is this a good idea? Or will I just get myself in more trouble because my credit is good right now...I'm not working right now, but should be soon, so I was gonna do this once I start working...

I have over $4500 of credit card debt spread out among six different credit institutions as well as a car payment and then the obvious monthly utilities, rent and such. I cannot meet the minimums most months and am falling behind on some. My credit score isnt good enough to get one card to lower my payments. Should I consolidate my debt?

I have been trying to decide if it would make sense for me to finish my degree or not. Help!!

The facts: I am 27, I am a sales manager at a large company, I have a year left of full time credits to complete in order to attain my bachelors degree (I do have an associates). I have been employed by this company for 7 years and have been promoted 5 times all while attending night school. I want to change industries at some point, and even though I have a good resume based on work experience, I do not have the bachelors.

My question is how important is that word on a resume at this point in my career? Is it worth adding to my school loans, adding stress to my life, etc... Or should I be confident in my real world experience? All input is appreciated!!!
