My boss and I got into an argument over the phone and soon I will be going into the office. I have put up with his crap for 7 years and I've had enough. I already have applied for other jobs, but haven't heard anything yet. Should I tell my boss that I'm looking? Or keep this my own little secret and surprise him at the beginning of the year?

I would strongly advise you not to say anything....it could be great risk in you looking elsewhere, he could fire you or worse than that start to micromanage you because if you are looking for another job, he could feel that you will get lazy on your work. I've seen it happen before and it's not cool. Keep diligently looking and give him a 2 week notice and then you leave peacefully.

I agree - it's best not to tell him. Above all handle it with integrity. Do your job well until you leave. When you have accepted an offer, give him notice for 2 weeks and don't burn any bridges. You can decide whether it's important to tell him how you felt about the job. If you say anything do it from a place of truth not anger.
I'm glad you're moving on-no one should put up with an abusive boss. Good luck!

even nonetheless you're grateful your boss gave you a injury, you gave your boss something in return, you. in case you have been a valued worker the place you're, you have repaid the debt and owe no particular attention. yet, in case you like to be greater effective, you should ask your new boss to permit you supply greater effective than a 2 weeks observe. I even have seen many "intense-high quality" bosses turn vindictive whilst a valued worker leaves. they could even see it as a betraya. l incredibly of thanking them for his or her previous contribution and for giving them greater observe, they often over react and hearth the worker instant. finding a clean job isn't constantly as trouble-free as you are able to think of. in case you lose your job till now getting yet another, you should be off artwork for an prolonged time. you are able to not constantly incredibly be attentive to your boss. Has your boss ever carried out comparable to your pals do for you?maximum useful human beings, and that i did say "maximum", not all, are intense-high quality till it is composed of money or their own fulfillment. you're likey youthful and early on your carer course. you do not ought to make enemies yet you apart from mght ought to evaluate your self first right here. additionally: beware of sites offering to help, that, in the tip, ask you for funds. there are a number of scams.

Keep it a secret! You don't want your situation to get any worse! Think about it - he'll be frustrated at the fact he's losing one of his staff and he'll take his frustration out on you. Wait until you find another job and turn in your 2-weeks notice. That way, you'll only have 2 weeks of extreme misery.

Do you want to be fired?
That's probably what he will do if he finds out.
or at least you won't get a Christmas bonus.
I don't think you should tell.

Don't tell him unless you quit!!! He will use it against you, wait until you've found a new job--then tell him to go to hell.
