I was summoned by Midland Credit back in Aug.2007. I went to court and agreed to pay $75.00 a month. I made the first payment in Sept.,but this past month I just havent had the money. All I make is 150.00 a week babysitting. I just got a letter today from the lawyers office and it said I had to pay in full now or they will take further actions? What can they do??

He owes approximately between $5,000-$10,000 to debt collectors. Even though we both make fairly decent wages, we definitely don't have enough money to pay it all back at once. Besides calling everyday, what will their next step be? He has nothing under his name, both of our vehicles are under my name as I have good credit. What would you recommend doing to solve this? Are debt collectors usually willing to work out some sort of payment plan? Thanks a lot!

Somehow, I suspect that the term "wealth building system" is just another way of saying "get-rich-quick scheme".

Father has a property subject to a nonrecourse mortgage with a balance of 200K, and his adjusted basis in the property is 100K. He gift sales the property to his son subject to the nonrecourse mortage. Since a gift is a nonrecognition event, does the son take the 100K carry over basis and assume the 200K loan? But, under Tufts v. Commissioner, hasn't the father essentially been forgiven the 200K and thus has a recognized gain? These two seem irreconcilable. What would happen here with basis and gain between the father and son?

I signed my deed to my house over to a neigbor I trusted as he promised to sign it back to me (he paid my taxes and I signed over my deed until I could get a piece of my property he wanted surveyed and split up) he promised to sign it back to me but ended up selling it. Keep in mind that I only signed my deed to him I never did a contract on what was in the house!!!! So he sold the house and on our moving day the new owners who are real ASSHOLES and sue happy watched us moving everything out of the house, when we tried to take the washer, dryer, and refrig. they called the cops and said that the appl. were in there contract that my neighbor did with them when they bought the house so the cop would not let us take them even though we had the recipt for the washer and dryer. Was my neighbor aloud to sell my personal belongings when I never sold them to him????? Please help.

I am thinking about opening up a kindof club in my area for people from the ages of like 16-20. I am only 17, and therefore do not have enough money to open it up on my own. Nor do I know how I would even go about to opening one up. How could I recieve a grant to open one up? Also, how long should it take for me to open one up? Any information would be useful, thanks.

any suggestions on what would be good things to get into? i dont really have any money to start out with maybe one thousand max. I'm only fifteen and it going to end up being a family goal but I want to start it out and if I can get it to like a few thousand then I could start investing(I know its risky but if you have five thousand you invest one then if you make off of that you put one thou back it etc.).. My first idea is making jewlery.. necklaces and bracelets manly.. would that earn me a few thousand in a few months? (Being worth about 5-15 each depending)

I signed a contract with a builder for a new house, this house was a standing inventory with some upgrades already in the house, the price was 300's they paid closing cost and gave me FHA with a small down payment by their part, so my new mortage will be 294500, but heres my concern:
I haven't close on the deal, and they have lower the base price of their homes on same models to 304's, and from what i have seen they might go lower than that, would it be wise to honor the deal knoiwngly that my un purchased house could be devaluated by the builder if they keep lowering the price? should I ask for a better price? or just completly back out?
I close in two weeks.
