I have a friend looking for a job and is refused a paper application and in return being asked to go to a website to apply. He does not have easy access to the web and is therefore requesting a paper application. And he is not the only one. My neighbor is now complaining of the same thing.
Now, obviously I allow him to use my computer and phone as a job hunting source, but I think it bothers him. I understand the complaint as well, applying online is usually long and tedious with no call backs.

I just started working for home writing articles. This is the only income I've made this year. The amount has not yet reached $400 so I haven't had to file any taxes but in the next month or so I should be making at least $1000. When do I need to fill out a 1040ES form and send it in? Also, on the form you are supposed to make an estimated guess as to how much I am going to make this year but the year is almost over. If I fill this out in a week or so do I just calculate what I will make by December 2007? If so, when I do I file another 1040ES form for 2008?

This had been a very busy month at work. There have been several employees out on vacations, etc...As well as a number of projects which had to be completed. As a result, some of my work wasn't submitted in as timely a fashion as normal. This apparantly has upset my manager. Who has spoken to several of my fellow employees about my performance this month, yet has said nothing to me. Really, everytime i've spoken to a fellow employee in the last week they've mentioned that manager has issues with me. What is the best way to approach this?

Basically I created a webcomic (http://theresetbutton.comicgenesis.com) And I'm curious as to whether I could write off any of the supplies I buy to creat the comic as business expenses. I don't profit from it, but I plan to eventually. Could I do that?

If you are currently trying to improve yourself in some way, talk about it here, so others can encourage you and empathize with you.

I am trying to do a better job of the small, boring, mundane things. I'm trying to multi-task less, so I can focus more.

It's hard because it's not mentally challenging stuff, but I know that I'm moving in the right direction.

How about you?

Is my credit score hurt if I change my "no interest" credit cards every year? Going from co. to co. every year is the only way to maintain a no interest card.

biggest weakness is, what would you answer? This is a two-parter.....would answering "I tend to trust people too much" be a bad or good answer? What would YOU say if asked this.

It's aimed at bedsit-land, high-rise accom, city dwellers ...It's a simple idea and would retail at less than a tenner. ... do I actually "make" the thing as a prototype or get someone to do it...? do i produce the prototype (to who?) or just provide the plans? ...and how can I make sure no-one has thought of the idea before and that no-one will pinch my idea before I get into production?

The boss did not respond because it was so rude.

I'm going to a job fair in town, should I bring copies of my resume? Is a long sleeve collared shirt too formal? Also, I am well groomed but I have a goatee. I shaved my sideburns for the purpose of appearance, but what about the rest? Do potential employers look down on facial hair?
