I am the middle manager for one of my employees. I didn't hire her nor can I fire her, that's up to my superiors. But she does "answer" to me in the chain of command. Well, every once in a while she will make unfounded complaints about me. She will be nice for a while, but then out of nowhere will complain to the union or to my superior. And her complaints are often about things that I can't control. She would blame me for the weather if she could. Any suggestions?

We bought a house in a small town 6 months ago. Our possession date is tomorrow. It doesn't look like the people we bought from are making much of an effort to move out. They have built a house in another town and its complete but they aren't moving yet. Now they may have hired movers or are just moving tomorrow but I was curious what happens if they don't move out. Do we have any recourse if he doesn't move out everything? We both used the same real estate agent.

I work at a call center in Utah and so many african american women from the southern states call in to buy products but can't purchase them because we don't accept money orders and they have no other way to pay. I thought the majority of people knew they could trust banks and credit cards, but not them!

I bought the house 5 years ago and our local permit department records show that there is an open unresolved permit on file from the previous owners and that they were in violation. The sellers produced a document that said the permit was finaled but it was not. I have spent $20K getting it fixed. Can I go back to the seller for fraudulent non-disclosure?

claim 2 dependents on our W2's? We're so confused on what filing status we should have. We're trying to avoid owing money.

Should one of us claim 2 and the other claim 1 dependent, so that we don't wind up owing? We have no children.

i was let go due to my "work production", thay also said complains were made but could not tell me what they were so i know what i needed to fix. Also 2 weeks prior to letting me go they told me there was no work for me where i wanted to be, they said if i wanted to look for a job that was totally understandable. Well the next day the manager came to me asking if i made a decision and i said yeah i will look for a new job but i could not leave til i found a new job, since i do have a young child. Well they went on and hired a person who took over where i wanted to work but i didnt say anything because she had a higher degree than me. Well i was doing everthing asked and busting my butt to get the stuff done and 2 weeks after they told me they "didnt need me" they let me go. I got unemployment out of it but it was fight, they looked at it as i did everything i was suppose to but still got fired. So where do i go from here a diff office wants to interview me?????

I have had an interview today for a position in recruitment for which I did not succeed. The role was heavily sales based and in giving the feedback he said, after a bit of hinting, I was too nice.

I have some concerns about running my own licenced daycare centre.

I want to go to college and get my Early Childhood Education diploma and then get my degree in the same field -- then I want to start a licenced daycare centre.

I love kids and I am really good with them. I also always dream about having a business. This career option appeals to me also because I want to have several kids of my own and I'll be able to take care of them in my daycare centre and feed them the way I think is best, etc.. I'm 20 years old. My parents are telling me it's a no-no because running a business is extremely hard work and I won't have time for anything else. Is this true? Do you think I'll be able to have a great daycare centre and still be able to run errands and be with my husband (and kids)?

Don't get my wrong, I am ready to work hard. I know it won't be easy.

I went on an interview, and was asked why I was leaving my present job. I said to advance any further I would have to move out of state and I do not want to take my kids out of school. The lady interviewing me then I hope you have someone to watch your kids.

I don't believe she can ask me that, but I am not sure since I brung up the fact that I have kids. I wanted to know if that was inappropriate for her to say

I have heard differing opinions about this but I didnt think you had to but a couple recruiters have told me that you are going to have to give it up at some point. I feel like you might be cheating yourself if you are actually honest enough and give your CORRECT salary, the company might try to lowball you. At least this is a situation I found myself in around 6 months ago.

any thoughts on this?

I have been pre-approved for a loan for $20,000 from Save Capital Finance in Canada. Their email address is www.savecapitalloans.com. My concern is I apparently have to pay $958.00 for insurance on the loan prior to receiving my loan. Sounds fishy to me....is this normal practice for doing a non-collateral personal loan. If you have any info. I would appreciate hearing from you very much. Thanks.

If a business throws an annual charity event, is it acceptable to keep a percentage of the money raised as a fee to help cover employee wages and so forth for the time spend planning and for travel costs? For example if $100,000 were raised, could the company keep a percentage?
