biggest weakness is, what would you answer? This is a two-parter.....would answering "I tend to trust people too much" be a bad or good answer? What would YOU say if asked this.

It might be a good answer and it might not be. Interviews are *so* subjective. They really just care about your work history and your work environment, so bring personal issues or stories to the interview.

Here is why it is a good answer -- It shows that you very trusting in a work environment. In a team based environment it is critical that team members trust each other and that everyone is open and clear in their communications. It shows that you would be willing to be that kind of employee.

Here's why it might be a bad answer -- The interviewer can take offense and start to defend their organization saying that everyone is trustworthy and it might be perceived as a slight to their organization (even though you are just meeting these people). Also, you need to be honest enough to really give a description of past behavior, say that you are aware of whatever the issue is and that you work on it constantly. This is another reason that the 'trusting people too much' issue isn't a good one. There isn't a good way to work on it without being more negative.

This is a hard question to answer on an interview and partially, they are checking that you have prepared a decent answer.

My answer is that I tend to be a perfectionist and I have to learn when good enough is good enough without having to take excessive time and effort just to dot every i and cross every t, even though I would if I could. Shows that I am meticulous and that I am aware of business speed issues. Still not sure it's a good answer though! :-)

good luck!

The trick is to give a "weakness" that's really a strength. Maybe something like, I try too hard or something like that. There are a lot of books available to tell you how to answer questions like that. They have lists of questions that are likely to be asked in an interview so you can prepare answers in advance. They also have suggestions of questions you should ask. Go to the library and ask the librarian where to find such books. Also try websites like Monster. They have interview suggestions.

If I have a weakness its that I work too hard. No really! best thing to choose is something that used to be a problem but one you have now resolved. Example Doing presentations, or speaking up in meetings, or using spreadsheets, you could then describe how you overcame that weakness.

My answer would be "KRIPTONITE". Don`t forget that`s a job asking. You can`t show weakness, if you wanna get it.
