It is adding to the public assistance rolls. here in california when you get hired by walmart in an entry level job, they sign you up for Medi-Cal (our medical care for poor people) and food stamps since thrier pay is so low their employees qualify. They actually hjave terminalks et up in Personnel that connect to the county. I for one am a bit tired of paying Walmart's benefit package!!

In a Positive way. Helps stretch everybody's tight budget, makes living a little easier. Provides many many jobs, carries quality products at realistic prices. It is a blessing if anything!
Walmart alone can not be blamed on the small store owners downfall. Blame the economy, our wonderful leaders and the politicians for that.

It's throwing all of the ma and pa stores out of business. It's great that they're cheap and plentiful, but they should be doing more to help the environment.
Any big department store that has large, flat roofs should be using solar energy. The large flat surfaces are perfect because no matter what time a day it is, the sun can still be hitting it.
They should have paper bags as well as plastic.
And they should pay people more than minimum wage.

It makes everything you buy cost a lot less. I have found things at other stores that cost up to $10 more than Walmart-sometimes more. You can do all your shopping and errands in one store.

GOD I hate going to walmart. You always have to argue with the snotty asshole employees. I felt like ripping into this one guy. I stood there patiently waiting for 10 good minutes, while he just stood there talking to another employee. I said excuse me, sir. He ignored me. I said it louder and he says "what?" The nerve!!! I asked him if he could check me out. He said yeah when I get to it. OOOO you better be glad I didn't have anything sharp on me.

It's providing lots of people with jobs and giving lots of other people a place to buy stuff at lower prices.
If you "hate" Wal-mart, just don't shop there.
