I have been looking for an entry level position within my major for the past 2 months. I havent been able to and sort of just need a job. Yesterday I was offered a part-time teller job at a credit union. I told them I would get back in touch with them because I needed to think about it. Well I currently have something else on the horizon that might be a decent entry-level position and tomorrow I am going to take a test. If I do good on it they will set me up with an interview.

So I am in a dilemma, do I accept the teller job and pursue the other job, and if they offer the other job to me just quit the teller job after less than a month. Or do I wait and hope they don't fill the teller position and go take the test.

Did you know that some insurance companies base the rate they charge on a clients credit score? The do have their reasons. They have statistics that show people who pay their bills are more responsible and have fewer claims. Do you agree with this practice?

I have an employee who is rather spiteful and a couple days after she was terminated asked for a work comp claim form...can she legally file after termination? I know its not really valid but I like to keep a clean history with my inc company.

Due to previous relationships and bad choices, my husband and I are dealing with really poor credit. I have ordered copies of all three credit reports and to be honest it is overwhelming. We both have old accounts on file that have been charged off and closed as well as some that just show as deliquent. Where do we start? Is it better to start with the most recent items and tackle those? Does a paid Charge off reflect better than the charge off itself? Do items ever really fall off after 7 years? I'm overwhelmed but want to do the right thing. Any advice you can offer would be great!

I just had an interview with OfficeMax about an hour ago. I think I did pretty well. The interviewer said that they would try to get me in for a second interview, that they would call me at the end of this week or the first of next week.

I wore a red and darker red striped shirt and khaki slacks with shiny shoes. I think it was a success. Was it? I mean, he could have said "We'll be calling you, or we'll be in touch". But he didn't. he gave me a time that he would call. Right?

Also, I don't know what to wear to the second interview -- should I wear a tie and dress shirt? or a different shirt with black slacks?

I am a 27 year old female living with family in MD and I desperately need to move out. I want to move into a fairly "safe neighborhood" where the crime and drug rate are relatively low, but the rent would be affordable for a person just starting off in life jobwise with an income of approx. $2,000 a month. I would prefer to live in MD but I am willing to move to the outskirts of DC if need be. Can someone please give me some good advice regarding this matter?

My husband and I have owned our current (Georgia) home for about 27 months (as of Oct 07). If we sell this home and don't want to buy another immediately, how much would we have to pay to capital gains tax (federally and/or to the state)? what are they talking about house are built by the guy down the road or some one like me I built a few I know of a few guys who would develop subdivisions and they would have crews on did concrete one floors one walls and so on they would erect a complete house shell every three days but what is this largest builder in the nation crap is there a franchise like burger king only for homes that I never herd about?
