I have been looking for an entry level position within my major for the past 2 months. I havent been able to and sort of just need a job. Yesterday I was offered a part-time teller job at a credit union. I told them I would get back in touch with them because I needed to think about it. Well I currently have something else on the horizon that might be a decent entry-level position and tomorrow I am going to take a test. If I do good on it they will set me up with an interview.

So I am in a dilemma, do I accept the teller job and pursue the other job, and if they offer the other job to me just quit the teller job after less than a month. Or do I wait and hope they don't fill the teller position and go take the test.

a job is a job and experience counts..so i would take the job and let them know you do have other offers on the table for the future..if they still want to hire you then and you get the other job you would have done some networking, made some contacts and maybe return later if the new job isnt what you were hopping for..just be honest and upfront with them..they may need the help so bad they wont care

I guess it depends on your financial situation. If you need the money, then I would accept the teller position rather than put all my hopes in a position that is up in the air. Since the teller position is part-time, you should still be able to pursue a full-time position.
