I had a telephonic interview [through a referal] with a person from overseas for about half an hour., It went well. I didnt hear from them for about 9 days, so I called up the company's HR here, the guy said he had sent me a mail asking for additional details. As I hadnt received it, I said so, and he offered to forward it to me again., But its been two days now and there hasnt been a word or mail since then., Should I email him again? I am clueless as to whether I made it through and why the silence/delay in process.
Please help!! its a very good role with good opportunities and involves a lot of responsibilities, and I really look forward to it.,

I work for a company and I was hired as a driver. They don't have enough hours for me to drive so they also have me work in the shop to get my 40 hrs.

I've been told to keep track of my hours because they don't want me working overtime in the shop, if they have to they'll pay me overtime for the road but they don't want to pay it for shop work.

Well today I was scheduled to work a 13+ hour day on the road and leave at midnight. Prior to this I had asked if I could get off early on the day before so I can get some rest, they were ok with it.

Well yesterday I left after 6 hours to get home and get rest.

When I got back from my 13+ hours today I was asked not to leave early on the day before because they're busy in the shop and I'm told they want me to get as many hours in the shop.

I try to explain that I worked 13+ hours today. I'm going to have to take some time off some time in the week why not on monday?

He then just says don't take off the day before anymore.

I'm relatively new at managing my own money for true expenses (since I'm just moving out). I'm 21 years old, I work in Television and I make about 3 grand a month right now (will eventually go up). My only real bill is my car insurance bill right now (which is 120 a month).

I'm looking to get an apartment closer to where I work, I think I've found one I really like and it's $1100 a month (and I'm gonna say about 150 maxed out at utilities every month as well). Do you guys think I'm managing my money well if I'm living in this place? I'm not really saving towards anything. I have a newish car already paid off.. I mean, there's the saving for an eventual house and family stuff.. but I figure that's a ways off (if it'll ever happen anyway).

So what do you guys think? When I look at the numbers, it looks feasible to me, but then I think of the money and I shy away.

Thanks in advance! If you have another question for me, I will reply as soon as you post it. I'm quick, so just refresh.

We relocated to South Carolina only a month ago and the buyer wont return calls or pay the payment! A neighbor told us we can call his commanding officer and have his wages "alotted"? Anyone know anything about this or what I can do? If he doesnt pay I will lose the house since he only gave $3000 down and promised the rest in a few months....dumb on our part I know but we were pretty desperate to move. Any help would be appreciated!

example: I work for a large company in a house for disabled individuals and we get paid for our hour lunch which means that we can not leave the house unless with a consumer or for other errends. Just recentely it was brought to our attention that we were not susposed to be eating fast food weather it be bringing it with us on shift or going to get it or ordering it beacuse it is "Not fair to the consumers and it is like telling them that their food is not good enough when we eat fast food around them". ALSO, we do not even have a seperate place in the home where we can even go to eat our food we have to eat in their kitchen (which is really not a problem)

My friend owes about $180K (since 2000) in Fed and Calif. back taxes. She was diagnosed with leukemia, and has not worked since 2000, but the governments continue to pile on late fees. She will never be able to go back to work. Do those lawyers I see on TV really help ? Does anyone know any that are good ? Are they just a sham?

How does Costco get away with selling stamps for .4075 cents per stamp? Are they selling it at a loss to benefit their customers or are they able to buy it for that much and pass the savings on to the customer? Either way it seems to me that the Government should step in and stop it. If it cost 41 cents to send a letter it should cost 41 cents to send a letter. Nobody should be considered that special that they pay less than the rest of the country to send a letter.

I work for a childcare center and I had got written up in the past for attendance issues. I have a child with medical needs and am a single mother. I need to take him to appts and such. They knew this when hired...anyways I missed a half day last Friday to take him to the Dr. I came in and they were fuming! Then on Monday the director came up to me and said "we have to have a meeting regarding this". Monday goes by..no meeting..Tues(today goes by) no meeting...Rumors are going around that they are waiting for HR to come to the building to fire me blah blah...are they playing games? What is going on? I want to know if I am being fired or not there. I have other opportunities I can be pursuing. Should I tell them "either tell me what is up or I quit? Ideas or opinions??

My daughter will be turning 13 in December. She will soon be receiving an injury settlement of approximately $43,000. She is not good with money. The attorney said it can be structured through an annuity so she doesn't get just a fat wardrobe check when she turns 21, but I don't believe insurance companies provide annuities just so they can get into corporate heaven when they die. Do they operate like banks, using your money to earn good returns while they make you dance for pennies?

What kind of business could i start with 10k cash in the bank, and an income of 3k per month after all personal expenses and taxes

Ive been selling stuff online and it makes good money, but i want to get into something more solid. I want to get into real estate, and ive been looking around and i think i could get into it with what i have listed above - but it would be a huge gamble. Id like to start with something smaller that generates good money, but mor importantly has a steady income. My current business is completely unreliable, and doesnt have much room to grow.

I was thinking stocks looks like something to get into. But that doesnt seem to reliable eithr. What do you think i should get into? Keep in mind that i dont have any real skills or degrees, but i am very capable, and would be willing to take classes and leanr from somebody or whatever it takes.

We are paid wkly - every Friday. Company consistently holding back pay for up to three days with no explanation. Every week the same; since June. When we go to collect pay - we are always told "come back tomorrow." Sometimes have to wait several hours after work day has ended and office closes and no pay. What recourse do we have? Highly recognized company in NJ.
