If you are employed while receiving SS benefits, and then you lose your job, you can apply for unemployment benefits while you are looking for a job.

If you retire from your job, you cannot get unemployment benefits.

Neither benefit is reduced because of the receipt of the other benefit. Unemployment benefits have no relationship to income, only to employment status.

Probably. As long as you are ready and able to work and seeking work you are generally eligible for unemployment. It's likely that your SS benefits would factor into what you could collect.
