I was just wondering:

1. How are apartment rental bills paid? For example, every week, or every month?

2. Is the rental bill seperate from other bills For example, electricity, water, gas and all of that?

I was sent to collections for becoming delinquent with my credit card payments.

I was irresponsible...I understand that.

I've called the collection agency and arrangment payments for three months.

Why do I keep reading that if you pay these "derogatory items" then your credit score will go DOWN but, if you do not pay your credit will stay as is and only improve with time?

I don't understand-is this true? What would be the incentive for anyone to pay off their debt (besides moral) I think it's ridiculos, that I've realized that I've made a mistake and have done everything to make it right yet-I'm worse off by doing so.

Please explain.

I'm trying to get some negative stuff off my credit. I've been told by credit repair people that even if you do a settlement it still doesnt help your credit so I might as well just dispute everything. What reason do I put down? Does it matter?

Is there somewhere related to Investing that would be considered suitable to take a business and investing club, for a day? If the Pacific Exchange would have been in LA, that would have been great, but anything else? I know there are no closer exchanges than Pacific.

I looked at my credit card statement today and found at least 250.00 worth of unauthorized credit charges, which occurred today and one yesterday from yahoo voice, which I don't even use. I called my credit card company and they stated I will have to wait 8 days because the charges are pending. This a crock of b.s.

Can overdrawing your checking account numerous times cause bad credit?
I pay everything on time, never late, always pay enough and yet I still have pretty bad credit. My only problem is overdrawing my account.
Does it screw me over?

My boss is being demoted. A position is being created for him. I am also interested in this position. Can my employer just create this position and appoint him to it, or are they legally obligated to "post" this position and allow others to apply for it?

I order a free sample, and was suppose to only pay $3.95 shipping. I have been charged for a full supply for the last 3 months on my credit card. I also found where this company charged others too.
Can we get our money back. Who should we contact. They don't answer the phone, or email me back.

I know no one can tell me what to do, but I'm hoping a response on here might spark an idea with me.

I've switched majors 3 times now, and yet I still cannot figure out what I want to do. It's a little frustrating when seemingly everyone around me has a career path.

It's seems so simple to say 'find something you love' but it's really not that simple.

How did everyone out there come across their career?

I only have 2 weeks left to live in my crappy house. There is a giant hole in the floor in the middle of the hallway. It is covered in carpet so there is no risk of falling through but when I step on it it sinks in. I asked my landlord to fix it 2 times in the last year. Now my time is almost up and I am afraid he is not going to fix it then charge me for "damaging" the place even though the hole was there when I moved in. (it was not a big hole at first but it has gotten lots bigger)

How do I get him to fix this? I am very poor and can't afford to fix it if he charges me.

I'm majoring in my third year of computer science and just realized that many jobs wanting my expertise will be office/cubicle jobs. Having an office/cubicle job right now and deciding that the office life is not right for me, I'm wondering where I will end up in the future. I'd prefer a job where I can travel and live wherever I want, perhaps somewhere in Europe, and write/modify code from a remote location. That would make me happy.

My computer science professors emphasize working on teams and I don't know if I would be able to travel and do what I want and still remain part of that team.

What I'm really saying is that my dream is to travel (not just whimpy vacations, but to live), but most jobs in the computer science field are office-like and, in my opinion, boring.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can do both with a computer science degree? - travel and work remotely.

I sold a business about 2 years ago & am due to pay the CGT on the gain by End Jan 08. I have not had any earnings since that time & lived on the money made from the sale. Everyone gets a tax free allowance on their earnings , so can I not use my allowance to offset the CGT bill as I have not been able to take advantage of this allowance?
