Is there somewhere related to Investing that would be considered suitable to take a business and investing club, for a day? If the Pacific Exchange would have been in LA, that would have been great, but anything else? I know there are no closer exchanges than Pacific.

the best thing to do is to have these kids which are in a so called investing club to be involved in business not investing. THey can set up a lemonade sale and see how it goes or anything like this to have a hands on approach to business.

Ask about UBS Investment Bank, 1999 Avenue of the Stars, 310-556-6700, for a tour.

The San Francisco Region of the Federal Reserve has 'shop' in LA: 950 S Grand Ave, 213-683-2300.

Or just go to something like the Financial Center Building, 704 South Spring Street, and have everyone spread out to see what there is to see, then stop somewhere like Angelique, maybe get an outside table, and talk about what everyone found: http://www.angeliquecafe.com/

I would re consider investing anything that has to do with California , I heard on the news that record numbers of residents are leaving , they are moving away to live other places in other States for the lower costs of living , if you find a money maker there make sure you can invest in something short term , even with Hollywood , there are more ,and more going to places like Atlanta , Miami , and there are even several that are buying property in SC in the mountian area's between SC & NC ...It was even said on a show that LA will be a waste land in 10 to 20 years ...
