I bought half an acre lot in Lehigh Acres, Florida in 2005, when the big boom over there. I thought that the price was going to grow quickly and give me some return or maybe I decided to build a house for myself over there. I was really wrong. I paid 56000 for a lot that are now selling for less than 20000 with luck.
Now, I'm paying a mortgage and don't have any hopes. Some people say that the price will start to go high again. Some people say that it was a game that politicians were playing in that area to buy more and more cheap land. But I don't see a light. If I can't selll because I will be loosing too much money, what can I do? Also, if you have any experience in that area or in real estate, do you have any idea on the future?
Thanks

I do not plan to show a profit this year in the business I bought but thought that the tax deduction for the purchase may help me in my personal taxes.

we live in a 2 family house, the tenant lives upstairs on hte 2 nd floor and recently she removed all our stuff from the garage to which she gave us a key to.
*It is the 8th of the month and we found 2 other house, do we still have to pay her for the week and move out?
* or do we go to the police and report her action just in case she wants to take it further?

two years ago my credit score was 460 now its 630. ive been paying back old debt and credit cards for this time. now all that i have left on my credit report to pay off is 1000 in bills that were sent to collections. all the cc's have been paid off. zero balance as of right now. once that 1000$ is paid. will my credit score go up again...what makes it rise more. paying off credit cards or collection accounts. i wanna find out if my score will go up substantially after i pay this.!!! i know i gotta pay all bills on time and everything. if anyone has any experience in paying off old debt how soon did you notice a change in credit score....also the only cc i have is only in my husbands name. i wanna get one in my name to build my credit back up...is my credit score good enough to obtain a credit card that doesnt have a lot of fees.

I just bought my first home two months ago. My loan officer required me to put 10% down on it. I already want to move, but I want to keep it for an investment. I know I can rent it out enough to cover the payment on it. My question is, if I go to by a new house to live in, will my loan officer require 10% or 20%. He said that they require 20% for investment properties, but my new house that I buy wont be an investment, I will live in this one.

I filed for a tax filing extension until Oct. 15th for the first time ever. However, as I'm getting closer to the date I'm finding I might have trouble getting everything compiled for my accountant. Is there another extension that I can file? What happens if I miss the Oct. 15th date?

She financed this car that she bought from a shady dealership. She financed the car for 7,000 dollars. The car has major things wrong with it. Can she recind this deal? It was only friday when she went through this and she did not listen to anyone who advised her not to buy it....including me. But this is my little grandaughter and I want to help her because she needs this car to get through college. I thought there was a 3 day federal consumer law that would allow one to recind any deal made within the three day window after it was made....is this true? Thank you in advance for ANY information on this.

I've been arguing with a friend recently on where you can pay with a Credit Card and Cash together in a major retail store like Target or Best Buy.

i.e. Product price is $80. You use $60 from your credit card and you use $20 that you have in your pocket.

I don't think it's possible in a retail store but my friend says otherwise..

what do you guys think?

Finch Construction Company provides its employees who are carpenters w/all the required tools. However, the company believes that this has led to some employees not taking care of the tools and to the mysterious disappearance of some of the tools. the Company is considering requiring all of its employees to provide their own tools. Employee's salaries would be increased by $1,500 to compensate for their addt'l costs.

Write a letter to Finch's managment explaining the tax consequences of this plan to the carpenters.
