Or, do you start at 0 and your first credit interaction shoots you up to a high number and you can either go up or down from there?

(Hopefully that question made sense, lol)

I am 30 and have no credit score. I accrued a huge amount of back child support about ten years ago and circumstances led me unable to work and pay support. Of course, that large amount has hindered everything I do ever since. I am really trying to get my life going in a positive direction. The slightest emergency has me in a lose lose situation every time. Because of this I decided it is time I get a newer reliable car, but am reminded that I have no credit. I have never had a credit card. All that is on the report is my back child support judgements and a judgement to my apartment complex. That judgement was paid in full. The child support is about $16,000.
I recently applied for a secured credit score to atleast help build some credit, but wonder how badly the support judgement will hold me back. I pay regularly on the back pay, but it doesn't seem to show that on my report. It is listed as collections or something.

Any insight?

The house fire started, where the A.C was plugged in. I had nothing else plugged into this plug in, also the wiring was not updated throughout the house. If anyone has any advice or maybe similar incedents I would greatly like to hear from you. Thank you for looking..

Does even small ticket items like your toothpaste have to be from there otherwise you feel it is not good? I am, I guess I feel that all pharmacy and food products have some special magical coating on them and that the same pharmacy and food products found at a walmart or a dollar store are of lesser value.

Ok, so I have a friend at work and she has a 2 year old little boy. But last year she let her bf carry her son-the dad, and she carried 2 of her friends kids on her tax returns. Well she came to work crying about how the IRS sent her something saying she owes $6k to the IRS. I want to help her out but I dont know what to do. Is there anyway that she can turn in some sort of paperwork that would get the IRS off her back, like something that would make her not owe anything, or what is the worst that they are going to do to her. She is now raising her son on her own and she needs her full paycheck as well as her future returns. Help please. She is really stressing out and I hate seeing her like this.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of the 'Reverse Funnel System' from Ty coughlin. I saw a review of it at http://www.reversefunnelsys.blogspot.com and it's by a really reputable person. I was wondering if anyone has done this and how it's working for them. Thanks

I am so SICK of renting, but I have no money saved up, tons of school loans, just screwed up my credit (4 months of bad luck = a DESTROYED credit report/score), so I doubt I will ever have my own home in the next 5 years.

UGH! I want to foster animals, and haven't been able to find a house to rent within a reasonable amount that will allow that!

Tell me I am not alone in feeling this frustrated!!!

I have a degree in Business Information systems, am a six year active Army veteran in Satellite systems, and have a government secret clearence. But, still can't find of job for over 6 months now (besides walmart, or Iraq). Why? So far having a degree or being a veteran means nothing, let alone together.

Do you think it is really necessary to include payroll taxes, unemployment insurance, worker's compensation, etc. when determining your labor burden?

My husband and I were stationed at Ft. Riley, KS. We bought a townhouse. Now, he is in Iraq, and I am pregnant. We thought it best for me to move back near both our parents in Indiana. We bought a house in Indiana thinking our Kansas house would sell right away. It hasn't. Is there any kind of relief I can get on the mortgages because of this situation?

I am curently in the process of trying to buy my first home. I have shopped around for mortgages and came across the Recapture Tax mortgage. It seems to be a really good deal, I understand the stipulations, and I just need a bit of input from people that have used this recapture tax mortgage.
