Most places you have to be 16 at least to get employed.
You also cannot drive a car before you're 16 either.
Most places will not/cannot rent to somebody under 18.
Usually only fast-food & super-markets hire at that age.
But you can become self-employed & provide services.
Baby-sitting is clean, easy, & pays well;-} if you're reliable.
Just be sure that your mother knows & OKs the clients.
Beside that, there's pet-walking, house-work, gardening,
car-washing, dish-washing, etc.
These are all jobs which uneducated illegal immigrants do.
So you are going to have a lot of competition out there.
You're much better off staying in school & living at home.
It'll make a huge difference in your life & working career.

Well there should be a place there like there is in Vegas. Here the illegals go down to the BROAD ACRES SWAP MEET and meet a guy in a car, give him some money and he brings them back a fake ID and SSard. So if you have a place like that there you can get a fake ID and act like your 18... I am of course not serious about you doing that, if they caught you would end up deported to your country of origin or something... Not really, I bet if somebody here legal has a fake ID they would get arrested and spend some time in jail or get fined. ..... Really though when I was 15 I had already been working on a farm, driving a tractor, shoveling shtuff, digging ditches etc.. you know the jobs Americans don't want to do... They used to be the jobs that bought the 1st car and the job that supported that young family or single guy that started out on his journey through life early, as you are. I think that small farms will still hire you at 15, but of course they are not in the city... but if you are on your own then you could get a place to live included in your wage, work after school and weekends... But I bet farms are a little slow in Oregon in the winter.. Oh well good luck, if you try you can do anything.. Just get out and do it.

Since the first of the year when the minimum wage went up, all the McDonalds restaurants now hire at 14. They only hire a certain amount of persons at this age, because they are limited with the duties that they can perform. Dairy queen is another one, just like you mentioned. It usually depends on how many younger workers they have hired already. I wish you luck with your job search and your future.

It is financially impossible for you to support yourself on minimum wage. You are in for a very hard life. I really hope you make the right choices, pick the right friends, etc. Good luck.
