We have made an offer on a home in Denmark that is listed for 2,595,000dk (about $520 000 CAD... cheap in Denmark). In Denmark, the sellers agents show potential buyers the home and buyers do not have a representing agent of their own. This home has been on the market for close to 4 months. We've heard the average selling time is 7 to 8 months. It is considered a buyers market now (although I haven't seen the prices budge much since last year!) The home is in excellent condition however is somewhat outdated and could use some remodelling (it is liveable as is). I'm at a complete loss as we have always had agents with the capabilities to see what prices similar houses in the area have sold for negotiating for us. We offered 2,400,000dk which is 7.5% lower than asking, hoping to negotiate to about 4% below asking (what the selling agent told us was reasonable and usual). After we made the offer, we were told the seller won't budge more than 0.8% from the asking price. Were we reasonable?

Bonfires create pollution, and the green nuts probably suggest global warming.

If Gordon and his mates taxed it (like everything else), they'd make a killing on November 5th.

Ive posted this already, but Id like to get more perspectives.
My landlord took $100 out of my deposit to repair this http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee204/fiddycentson/
interior piece of crap door that was being used as an exterior door. Its obvious that its been repaired multiple times (you can see all the compounding material) and has been rotting for god knows how many years. I spent all winter trying to get him to replace and now he has the balls to blame it on me?

on top of this, after suing 3 months later leaving the apartment and receiving my security deposit- 100 for the door, he decides to counter sue me saying that I left the apartment a mess and left terrible stains o on the rug and that what he originally took from me didn't cover the entire cost of his door.
Is he in lala land or is the world just totally screwed up?

He shouldn't of written me a check along with a total of deductions if there were more. I think its pretty obvious that hes just retaliating against me.

Can an apartment complex require photocopy of your Driver's License before showing unit? Why do they need it? In this age of ID theft isn't this just asking for trouble?

Hi.
Can anyone advise me on how to start up a business from home - selling cakes etc?
I have thought about working from home for a while and as baking is a hobbie I feel this would be best.
What do I need? How much do I charge? etc

I'm starting up my own business and wondered a few things....
If I register for VAT what expenses do I get back? Do I get the VAT back from my purchases for the company ie- I buy an ipod at £120 excl VAT(141 incl) and sell it for £150 excl VAT (176.75 incl). (Only an example). What profit would I make overall - would it only be the £35.75 or would I get the VAT back from the original purchase too?

Are they safe? What would I have to worry about if I had an account? After some one sends the money they can cancel it from what I understand.

The seller purchased the home a few months ago, fixed it up and is now selling it. During an open house last weekend, someone who used to live in the home 3 years ago told me about the problems that the property used to have (water leaks, etc). Also, he said that when he purchased the home, he was told that the previous owner had died in the home. Shouldn't this now be disclosed by me to any current interested buyers of the home? Obviously the current seller doesn't know any of these things, since he never actually lived in the home. Do I just casually mention it to the potential buyers, or should I document this in some way? The guy signed my open house log so I have his number btw...
