Ive posted this already, but Id like to get more perspectives.
My landlord took $100 out of my deposit to repair this http://s230.photobucket.com/albums/ee204/fiddycentson/
interior piece of crap door that was being used as an exterior door. Its obvious that its been repaired multiple times (you can see all the compounding material) and has been rotting for god knows how many years. I spent all winter trying to get him to replace and now he has the balls to blame it on me?

on top of this, after suing 3 months later leaving the apartment and receiving my security deposit- 100 for the door, he decides to counter sue me saying that I left the apartment a mess and left terrible stains o on the rug and that what he originally took from me didn't cover the entire cost of his door.
Is he in lala land or is the world just totally screwed up?

He shouldn't of written me a check along with a total of deductions if there were more. I think its pretty obvious that hes just retaliating against me.

my next door neighbor told me he kicked it in a couple years ago, I think they just painted over it afterwards and the stress from the fracture just broke the seal of the paint. so they're blaming it on me, when im pretty sure they know the truth

Well, we can't tell what is what. I can tell you that you are not correct, that is not an interior door, it is an exterior one. Also, the pictures indicate it was kicked in recently, not years ago.

The judge will straighten it all out. He had to counter sue in order to bring up any additional issues that you did not address, like the carpet. You should always expect a counter suit when you sue someone (and you started this ball rolling), they have to do that in order to completely explain the situation.

This is the danger of suing anyone.

Always remeber "litigation is the sport of kings"

They can counter sue you on trumped up charges and most likely will win the counter suit.

I hope you learned your lesson.

Don't expect a rattlesnake to act like a kitten.

In Georgia they say "You can't turn a potatoe into a peach"

P.S. EVERYONE has to learn this lesson sooner or later.

20 years ago a guy ran into my car ON PURPOSE.

When I sued him, he counter sued me for damage to his car that was totally unrelated to the accident he caused.

Lucky for me my insurance company stepped in and paid him off. Can you believe that???

I was as mad as you are now, but I got over it and moved on with my life. That's what I recommend you do.

Hope this helps.

Ya , that is what court is about . . .
2 people suing and counter-suing . . .

I see lots of venting but no real ? . . .
