Imagine two people starting starting with 2,000 pre-tax dollars to invest at age twenty-five. The tax rate is a constant 25 %, and the capital gains rate is constantly 15 %.One person invests in the ROTH IRA (for 1,500 dollars because of the tax), and one invests in the Traditional IRA. If the annual rate of return for each investor is 8%, who does better in the end if retirement is age 70, exactly 45 years later?

I'm the leader of a 9 people team. I was told by my professor to put together a schedule/timeline so we all know what's due when. I haven't been able to do this since I needed to find out certain information from the rest of the team otherwise the dates I would assign wouldn't make any sense.

Am I supposed to just put it all together with tentative dates and just change dates once I find out what are the realistic due dates? Should I also write down what tasks are supposed to begin on certain dates as well as their due date?

I find it really difficult to put this down into words/schedule since it feels like we are playing it by ear since we need the team's input for a lot of these decision.

We got in trouble today for not having the timeline ready, we are one our 5th week of the project for which we only meet 2 times a week.

What's the best way to do this?

I'm applying to jobs at tv stations all over the country. I have lived in some sort of large metropolitan area of at least 200,000 person population my whole life, and I may have to move to a smaller market. Its not that I have anything against smaller cities, but how can I get excited about moving someplace that is a very centralized population and surrounded by nothing but countryland for hundreds of miles?

My grandmother recently passed and she deeded her home to the grandchildren. We took possesion of the home, this wasn't inheritance by the way, and we have sold it. From what I understand I will have to claim this money as Income for 2007. I usually just use the 1040ez form because I don't own property and I have no deductions or anything that would make me use the long form. My first question is can I still use the EZ form with this type of income? Secondly, will I get something in the mail to document these earning? I don't think the attorney is making us fill out w9's, so I'm not sure how to report this. Will this be considered as capital gains? I've heard they tax capital gains more significantly than earnings from employment.

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Hello,
Does anyone know how I can invest in Vietnam's stock market. I have a trading account with Wells Fargo but I do not believe I can purchase Vietnam stocks with them. Is there a place online where I can sign up? I have read big companies and individuals investing there and would also like to. Thank you all for your help.

I just got my first credit card and decided to use it once or twice a month for gas at first. Now my bill is due18th of October and it's $44. When should I pay it? A week before the due date? Also what should I pay? The full amount of 44 or the minimum payment? Which looks better? Any advice as well is generous. Thanks

I've gone through three rounds of interview and now have been asked to come in for a 'lunch' with the team. What does this mean? Just another interview or something more? An offer? Anyone in HR have any idea, please let me know.

Thx!

I am renting a 3 bdrm duplex and I signed a 1 yr lease on the property, however my landlord has ignored all of my concerns when I have called him about something not working or being broke. My screen door won't stay shut, I have no screens on any of my windows, and the absolute worst is that my kitchen light(which is flouresent) is duck taped together which is a fire hazard. I called my landlord over a month ago about the screens and the kitchen light he sent someone over to look at it and nothing since. I have a 13 month old baby and I feel that this house is not safe for her. So can I legally get out of my lease. Thank you! (by the way I live in IL)

ok so i want to take a bunch of clothes to the good will. and i know you can get a receipt for a tax write off, or deduction, not sure. but i only make around 9-10thousand a year. and have never had to pay taxes when i file them. i always get some back. so if i brought in the receipt for the clothes when i get my taxes done, would i get more back, or does it just take some of the money off of what i would have to pay if i did?

I have just sold a high priced item on ebay. I just wanted to know what is the best way to protect myself just in case a buyer reports that a item has not been received by them. I'm just concerned because of some weird circumstances have occurred during my auction. Someone posing as me sent emails to bidders on my item asking to sell my product outside of ebay. They seem to have guessed peoples email addresses by sending emails to their usernames and putting in gmail.com or hotmail.com.
