Sorry---Just venting. I live in the Dayton, Ohio area and can only work weekdays (mornings and early afternoons) and every job to which I've applied seems more obssesed with evenings and weekends than with my work experience.

I don't know about there, but there are many opportunites in California. Perhaps try small family owned businesses who may only need some help for a few hours a day...

No I think your problem is that part time jobs are usually places that are open more hours and days of the week. Full time work is generally available m-f during normal business hours. So if you can't work full time then you might just have to deal with working weekends and evenings.

Sign up with a temp agency and specify those hours .
Good Luck , most of that time is filled by permanent long term , full time employees .
