I've gone through three rounds of interview and now have been asked to come in for a 'lunch' with the team. What does this mean? Just another interview or something more? An offer? Anyone in HR have any idea, please let me know.

Thx!

Now is the time for a relaxed team meeting, so all can see how you interact with the team as a whole, and how you fit in. Last faze my friend. ie how you interact in a social setting as may be required in your job as with clients and co workers within the department. Does everyone fell comfortable with you? Sounds like a very selective company be sharp, be friendly, be helpful then the job is yours

An unusual way of interviewing. These types of interviews happen sometimes. I'm not sure what the main purpose would be, but I can only assume.

Sometimes companies want to hire people who will fit in with the rest of the team. Why would you bring someone new who is quiet, keeps to themselves, etc to a group of fun interacting loving co-workers? A bad apple can definitely bring down a whole team. Perhaps your potential co-workers will decide your destiny with the company. Be yourself and don't pretend to be someone else. If you do, you will suffer the consequences with your co-workers and your stay will be short.

I once interviewed and spent about 4 hours paired up with a worker. I was supposed to see how things ran in the company. I was later invited to come back for a company party and that I could bring my family along. Things went well, but I did not take the job offer.

Good Luck

Depends on the job you are interviewing for. Maybe the "team" wants to meet you in a semi-relaxed setting. (Although we all know that in an interview, no one is relaxed!) They can make their offer any time they like, but it sounds like you're on the right track if you have already been through three rounds of interviews. Good luck!
