services that the employees rendered for company B but doesn't pay payroll taxes. They argue that since the employees are not employees of company A, they don't need to pay payroll taxes. Since the fringe benefit amounts are less than required for a 1099, they don't issue 1099s. However, no services were rendered by company B's employees to Company A. In fact, company B paid for company A's employees. These are obviously related organizations. Is this really an ingenious way of avoiding payroll taxes? It doesn't sound right to me to set up two companies and one pays the other's employees without receiving any services or goods in return and avoids payroll taxes.

I already agreed to be flexible but also I was brought in under one impression and now feel I have to take less I want the original rate...would it be wrong to say I want what I was told? will the offer be ungranted if I say i want the original price? I don't kow what to do but don't feel it is worth it for a new rate...the original one was just right...help a young adult to choose I know u have more experience than me, what do I do?

My husband of 24 yrs died last week of cancer. We had no life insurance. He was able to keep making our house payments until last month. August. '07. I work full time and I can't make the mortgage on my income but intend to get a 2nd job. My kids age 20 and 21 who are full time college students are against me getting the 2nd job. I was told by social security that I can't get survivor benefits until I'm 60. I am 49. Husband was 51 and on insurance from his job and social security disability during the latter part of his illness. My 21 yr old son has epilepsy, Tourettes Syndrome and OCD. He has run up alot of medical debt for me although he is on my insurance plan at my job. Can I get any help from SS other than the $255 death benefit? Thanks.

I was on title with a partner on a property. He wanted to keep it and I did not. He took out a refinance on the property in his name only (I'm not on the the refinance mortgage). We removed me from title and went our seperate ways.

If he runs into financial trouble down the road can I still be on the hook for anything since I was on the original loan?

Thanks!

These organisations employ people to devise new and more dubious ways of raising profits on a daily basis.
What they do would, if done by a spiv in the street, bring the cops a running, but because it is carried on in the so called high pressure dealing rooms of the world these thieves and rogues get rewarded with vast bonuses.
The only high pressure these people feel is when they **** up and lose some of their unfairly earned loot.
Most of these creeps should be in jail along with their bosses who should know better.

What are the duties of an office manager vs. Human Resources Director. It's sort of confusing to me. Like for instance, do employees report to the office manager or to human resources. Do the office manager sit in on monthly reviews or human resources director. Please help with this. Thanks

I recently applied for a new position. My usual MO is to wait 3 days and call to ensure that my application materials were received, with the underlying goal of introducing myself to the person who is looking to fill the position. However, I received an email stating that my application materials have been received. So how do I follow up?

Thanks in advance!
