1=> I understand that part of salary from our pay slip is deducted as tax. How to calculate if its done so.

2=> Income tax and State tax we file every year is always more than the refund we receive. How to understand the best way of filing tax?
If we consult an agent, we found that he will not explain every payment in detail. Is there any web source to do so?

3=> I have heard that a non-resident of US with a dependent spouse will receive higher tax returns at the end of year. What is the % of increase in this scenario? And how should we file tax to get this advantage.

Started a home business, but was unable to acquire license/rights to sell targeted product. Filed for and obtained EIN and Company name. What must I file with the IRS to let them know that the company is defunct? There was absolutely no revenue earned by the business before shutting down.

I found out yesterday that I am being laid off. Although I was shocked, it is no surprise that the company has not been doing well. They have been having a hard time retaining clients and then the owner decided that she wanted to take the company in a diffrent direction. Anyway, the would like for me to stay on until the end of this month and they don't mind if I utilize my working hours to seek employment. They offered me three week severance pay and three weeks medical.

Is this a good deal. I've never been fired or laid off before, so I'm not sure what I should expect.

I want to start a home based business selling home decor. ive noticed that in the fabric stores they have alot of material, other items with animated characters from popular companies i dont want to mention. i want to use these fabrics in some of my work, sell it, but dont know if its legal. i know a little about copyrights laws, but im confused because the materials are in a fabric store, and the companies know people shop in fabric stores to use material to make, create new things.
