If you got an email saying that you won it, it's a scam, and you didn't really win anything.

The only way you win the UK Lottery is to be there and buy a ticket. Then you would notify THEM that you had the winning numbers, they wouldn't notify you. The email saying that your email was selected are just a scam - if you respons, they'll tell you that you have to send them a delivery fee to get your prize, then guess what? You won't get any prize, and you'll be out that fee.

FYI....

If you received an email stating that you won the lottery, it is a scam.

They will ask you to send money to them to pay the "taxes","insurance" or something else before they can release the money. If you pay it, they disappear.
