A salesman told me to buy whole life insurance from massmutual? He said I can take money out after 10 or 20 yrs when I get old? If I pay 1500 very year, so after 10 yrs, that means I can take 15000 plus interest and dividends, is that right?

I understand the whole gaining money from capital and buying stocks when they're low and selling when they're high priced. But lets say you buy a stock for 98 dollars and the stock price for the company grows to 105 dollars. What would be your profit if you sold your share at this price???Also, how do you know if the company gives quarterly dividends?

I've heard these 2 guys talking about compound stock earnings on talk radio, and I've checked out their website, but I'm still not sure what they are talking about. 1. Is this program a scam? 2. How does it work? 4. Sounds like you need to own stocks before enrolling, true? 5. They keep talking about options, what does this mean? 6. What are covered calls? 7. Do these guys work on commission or do you pay a fee upfront? 8. Has anyone actually gotten rich using this service?

Hi!
I'm going to the interview soon. It is very special position for me. And I'd really like to get this job. I'm not interested in money at all. I just wanna do that job. So is it ok not to tell the salary I want to the interviewer. If yes, what is the best way to say and explain?

Thanx!

We're a nuclear family of four and want to have my mom move with us to San Francisco. I've checked out rentals and real estate and the prices are amazingly high. While we were there, however, I didn't get the feeling that the neighborhood of Sunset was full of wealthy people.

How do people afford to live there if they aren't rich?

I am in the process of building my website and was wondering if anyone knew how to get the attention of bloggers, high-end retailers and catalogs to get my line known? I won't have much mortgage interest to deduct in the current year (i.e. 2007) because my mortgage loan won't begin until September. I might be better off taking a standard deduction for 2007. Can I defer the deduction of my mortgage points on my home purchase which I paid for in 2007 , to my 2008 tax return?
