Let's put it this way: I pay 2000 a month for a small two-bedroom house, so I can only imagine what a 4 to 6 bedroom house would go for!

I live in the Boise, Idaho area. We own a 4 bedroom home that was bought 3 years ago and we pay $1200 a month with a 30 year fixed mortgage. Rental prices in our neighborhood for the same sized house is around $1500/month.

It would depend on condition and location. Homes that size would normally be very old and drafty costing a fortune to heat so cheap rent or in a upscale part of the city and very high class for executives so someplace between 800 and 5,000. That is very large for a rental house.

I live in a Two bedroom in Massachusetts. Its over 2500 a month. And its a cheap one... Where I live 5-6 bedrooms cost over 13,000 a month or MORE!!!

There are exceptions of course but in general rent runs about .8% - 1.0% of the retail value of the home until you exceed about $250k.
Things like waterfront, acreage and gated communities can skew this, but it's a good guideline.

Not that I do, but it would be between £2000 and £4000 a month. This is London, England and equates to about twice that when it's put into dollars.
