I have 2 more months left in my apartment but I've been looking at houses and figured it would take me the 2 months to find one but luckily I found the perfect house. Is there some kind on renter's rights where I can break my lease because of a house purchase?

Is the dollar amount per year that you are eligible to recieve for social security on their yearly update given in todays dollars or future inflated dollars?
Example, I want to take social security in 12 years at the age of 62. Social security says I will recieve 16,000 per year. Is the 16,000 in todays dollars or do you multiply that by 3% per year for inflation for 12 years to get the amount you will recieve in 2019 dollars??

Currently I am 100% invested in agressive Mutual funds and now I want to rebalance my portfolio so that I can draw income. My question is - how do I / what is the best way to reallocate the IRA portion of my portfolio. I.e., CD's, short term bond funds, bank loan funds? Which is the most safe and produces the best income. Yeah I should ask an FA but I like to handle my own money...
Thanks

I loaned someone money. They agreed to a $25/day late fee if they defaulted on the loan. They defaulted. The late fees now exceed $12k. Which is more that the principal amount. I want to know what would hold up in court if I have to go that route. Thanks.

the IRS in Texas- a community property state.it appears they are applying their guidelines for marital property by insisting that my pension be calculated with my husbands social security,His own pension and wages to determine if HIS social security benefits are further taxable.According to publication 555,pages 2,3,4 benefits are taxable to the person whose NAME it is or OWNED by. I take this to mean;HIS social security benefits,His wages and HisPension determines whether His social security benefits are further taxable. I don't receive social security. I receive a Pension in my NAME which is taxable to me and is not community property for tax purposes just because we share [the same reporting line] on form 1040,16b, and because of where we are domiciled.Being married and filing a joint return in the state of Illinois{non-community proprty state][ permits me to make this adjustment because the social security is not taxable to me. only if spouses totaled income exceeds the limit ..?

I am obviously a female. And I am wondering about those who have pursued there whole career in engineering. I think if I get a good enough head start I could achieve the goal. But is it a good broad career path? Could I do a lot with it? I mean, money is kind of an issue, but I want to know from people who have made their lifes off an engineering degree. Was it worth it? Or would you pursue another career if you could start all over?

First let me say that I have several credit cards. One though has really begun to screw with me. First they raised the interest rate to 21.9% and now the monthly payment is unreal (I have never been late on the payment but because we bought a house and car they feel they are justified to do this). Because the raised the interest rate it caused us to go over the limit and they have tacked on overage fees. What happens if I just stop paying the bill and when I get my taxes back in Jan. pay off the whole account? I don't know if I will end up in court if I do that or what will happen. Please Help!!!!

ok, I am trying to write my business plan but i'm not sure which route to take. My company is registered as a business development services company. My company has several different business models and i'm not sure how to incorporate all that in one business plan because each would essentially be different. Should I write each separate?

So today is the 7th of July, I paid my rent 1 day late, it's due on the 5th. On the 6th of the month my landlord informed me of the date change stating rent is now due on the 3rd. My question is, is that actually legal, no advance notice to change in rental agreement?

Bear with me, as I try to explain this:

I began working for my current company last year. Started out as a Sales Rep.

My boss, the Store Manager took a position at another company a few months later.

I became the Interim manager. I would have gotten the manager spot if I wasn't moving at the end of the summer. Instead, I was given the Assistant Manager position and asked to work full time.

I worked full time for about a month while they looked for a new store manager that needed to be trained during the summer so she'd be ready to take on the responsibilities.

Once she was hired, she didn't feel like we needed as many hours or that she needed to be trained so she cut my hours down to one day a week. (Let's just say quite a few customers have been complaining about her, but that's another story).

I'm leaving in three weeks to move to another state. I found out a week and a half ago that the new girl wanted to hire one of her friends for my position "when I leave"

How do you keep yourself from spending money when you are trying to save? It's not that I can't keep any money, I'm just looking for new ideas to spend less money, nothing more than the basics. I don't carry cash, only cards.
