The common type red seal United States Note $5 sells for $8-$10 each in average circulated, to $12 in above average(cleaner paper but several folds) and $15 to $17 in nice circulated(crispness on paper but with creases). Prices are different for replacement Star notes with asterisk in the serial number.

if it is a silver certificate 5 dollar bill in mint condition it is worth 5.75 us dollars if you can find someone to purchase it they are very common any old paper money unless in perfect condition with equal margins is worth face value of the bill and then only slightly more it is better to keep it

Depends on the condition of the bill. Some are going on E-Bay for about 35 dollars.
