There is a stock listed on the NYSE called CEE- Central Europe and Russia Fund CEE,It's managed by Deutsche Bank.What does anyone think of this stock/fund?Should I invest $30,000-$40,000 in this stock?

For the past several months, I've been getting requests from people to get their gowns and clothes altered. I've been making good money and was wondering if I have to pay taxes and file taxes next year or something cause it's sorta like my own little business? What are the rules regarding this?

The reason I ask is cause I know some people who have jobs like mine and don't file taxes or anything, but I don't want to get in trouble or anything.
Any ideas?

I ordered Checks from the bank and i want to buy a new pair of shoes....but i wont have the money in the bank till about 5 days later......will the bank cover this for me or will the check go through at the store until i cash my check???

I only ask as i am currently and have been for quite a few years trying to find a job in the media industry. Most jobs advertised seem to ask for quite a list of skills such as experience with complex editing programmes and other technical requirements. I have a feeling that the trolley zombies may be on a similar wage to people trying to break into the media industry. Is it me or is there something not right with that?

It doesn't seem fair to me that a lot of manual labour jobs only pay the minimum wage. Surely, doing dangerous jobs and working out in all weathers is worth more than that? Manual workers are far more likely to suffer injuries or industrial illnesses than office workers, so why are they paid so much less?

i was scheduled to work from 5-9 and I had nothing to do so I called in to ask the manager if i could just come in an hour early. He just told me to take the day off. i mean I only work an average of 5 hours a week.. Im trying to make money and he keeps telling me to "take the day off" .... can he do that... ?

My sister & I sold a 150 acres of land in Texas a number of years back, but we did retain the mineral rights. Diversified Land Management Company wants permission to look for oil or gas and said that if they found any then we would go fom there. Do we give them permission to do this or what?

I have recently been contacted about a craigslist ad that I posted. A man named Timothy Blair from AFPRINT FABRICS & TEXTILES asked me to be a U.S. representative for his company. They are supposedly based in England. All I had to do was receive checks from people stateside, keep 10%, and mail the rest to wherever I was told to mail it. I received my 1st check for $3,600.00. I was told to mail $3,000.00 to Africa, by Western Union, and await instructions for the rest (after my 10% was deducted). Is this legit? I just don't see how they can give away so much money! I looked for the name and address of the "person" who sent me the check (by UPS, by the way). But, I found a different person living at that address. Can someone help me? Has anyone else run across this, or do you have any advice???

3 people sharing ownership, no other employees
the product we're selling is a web application that will be a online subscription service
we've decided to form a LLC

Based on tax laws (rates, flat fees, etc), where is the more beneficial place to form a LLC between New York and Connecticut? We don't expect any income for the first 5 months of the company's formation.

I wish to warn ppl of a computer company scam. They are called BLUE HIPPO. Do NOT buy anything from them!! They will take your money and run and/or they will take FOREVER to get you your stuff, and its all from the last century. Old , very old not up to date, and their 7-10 business day line will take about 3 or 4 months!! Its for low-income to middle income ppl, and thier "free" stuff that they throw in for you is SHODDY, not worth the hassle. Also, Blue Hippo has many pending lawsuits against them, check them out with better business bureau, and you will see for yourself. My older brother and his family found out the hard way, called me for help, but there is nothing I could do about it.

Everyone I've talked to says that it's not what it used to be, of course only a couple of them have actually worked in this profession and it was many years ago. So I would really like some insite on what it's like now. I am wanting to move to LA and if can't find a job then I am thinking of being a flight attendant but don't want to make such a bold move in the wrong direction. First of all, I'm a junior in college. I'm clueless about finances. I have three high interest rate credit cards. One has a $1500 limit, and I have about $1200 on it. One has a $500 limit, and I have about $400 on it. Another has a $300 limit, and I have about $200 on it. Most of this is due to medical bills. I know that medical bills are a priority to pay off, so I'd rather pay a monthly credit card bill than default on those. I've never been late on a credit payment. My credit score with Equifax is 625. I'm trying to my financial situation. My mother told me to apply for a bunch of lower interest rate credit cards and then transfer my balance to it and close my other credit cards, but I'm finding out that looks bad with so many inquiries into my credit and with closing my credit card accounts that have been open the longest. I'm really confused. I don't know what to do. Advice?
