It's actually a stressful job. Depending on if you are willing to relocate, some offices are hiring, including part time rural drivers..also depends on what you want to do, sort, deliver, counter sales, management, etc.

It isn't easy. You have to wait until they are hiring, which is always an off and on kind of thing. There is no definite on when it will be. I just quit after 16 1/2 years. I strongly advise not waiting and finding another career. Then if they call you and it seems better than what you are doing accept it. I say that because it took 4 years from the time I passed the test to get hired. That was with a test in the high 90's. I won't give you all the horror stories because just because it wasn't right for me doesn't mean it isn't right for someone else.

I think that the Republican House has passed 18 jobs bills at last count And the Democrats who control the Senate, have not let a single one of those 18 Bills, be debated or voted on. Not a single one !!!!!!!!!!! 2. Even Obama's personal Jobs Bill, the democrats in the Senate defected from thier own party and voted Obama's Bill down.

In many places there is a 2 year wait. Take my advice and
find something else in the interim and stick with that.

there could be a waiting list but apply, they also have part timers and that can lead to a full time position.
