Yes, call and ask for the person who does the hiring.

I would go Legends Sport and Games early in the morning when the store first opens, and speak to the manager directly about your interest in working there. Ask if there are any openings. Whatever there answer to the hiring question, fill out a job application, and ask for the manager's business card. Call every three weeks to see if they are hiring. Also, think about other places that you would to work, as well.

Hopefully you know alot about this stuff. I would go in and talk to the manager as well. If you really know your stuff. Tell the manager to pull our 5 or 10 cards at random.

And just tell them what they are and what game they are from, Im sure all of the employees in the store can do it. If you can as well Im sure you have a great shot at landing a job.

If you get all 10 right I bet you are hired on the spot, if you only get 2-3 right you wont get the job. His employees have to know this stuff because thats all the questions they answer all day.

Better to go see them, face to face. Call them to find out when the owner or manager is there. Don't ask, then, about hiring. Just tell them you have questions about the store.

When you show up, be prepared with questions about their stock, what kind of background others working there have and the kinds of things you'd want to know before commiting yourself to work anyplace. Once the conversation is well established, tell him about your interest.

The question you do NOT want to ask is if they are hiring. If he's not, he will simply say no. But, if he sees your interest, he may consider opening a position, for example, part time, stocking shelves and cleaning up, when he hadn't thought of doing that before.
