The more lucrative jobs (in major corporations) are the ones in which you never hear " NICE JOB" .. They are the ones in which every day there are significant challenges/problems which no one wants to tackle. They are the ones that the execs realize that success is not measured by the final end game but rather how did you move the ball forward at all. Execs are faced with that every day.. they move the ball forward but they know if they are 60 % correct they have achieved enough--- sure they are driven to be 100% correct but are experienced enough to know that they won't be.
BTW expect to "literally" begin sweating before you get to work each day in anticipation of the challenges.
Have fun.. I really did - plus I have over a couple of M in the bank.

Not necessarily less stable. But a job that has few requirements will pay less than one that has many requirements.

in any situation where your personal time is owned by another human being ( a Job ) then you are at the complete mercy of that human being in regards to how secure you are.
The only way to obtain security is to be the one in control of your own time.

No job in the world is secured regardless what it is. There is no such thing is job security. If anyone believes that then they are living a fantasy world or is delusional.
